hahaha that ending was great, actually made me laugh out loud personally I think alpha 2 will be pretty long, 2 years at least, leaning more towards 3 years Steven said a while ago that they will consider a zone alpha 2 ready when its about 60% complete. Alpha 2 wont even have all the zones available, so I assume that the zones they arent planning on having featured in the alpha 2 will lag behind even that 60% mark. Its also depending on how well people receive what is shown, if people dislike some stuff, those things have to be reworked, postponing the launch even furterh. I am sure Intrepid has some leeway planing for potential reworks. But even if people like all the systems, love the combat, love the content, I still dont see them completing the world from 60% complete to 100% complete in less than 2 years. I hope I am wrong, since I think anything over a year for alpha 2 will be really bad for the game longterm. Great video as always !

Gonna copy my comment from the LoreForged community server, where we did a small poll on release date for the game. While 2025 would be amazing, and 2026 is definitely possible, I gotta say 2027. I expect perhaps Q2 or Q3. 2026 Q4 in my opinion is the absolute earliest I believe they will finish, based on our general current trajectory. However, that isn't to say that along the way they may bring in more coders, modelers/sculptors, etc. If they do, and depending on how A2 goes, there is definitely a chance at a Q3/Q4 official launch. Realistically however I am gonna go for a B1 date of Q2/Q3 of 2026, a B2 date of Q1 or Q2 2027, and a release of the full game in late Q3 or Q4 2027. With all of that in mind, I believe in what several people have said: They are keeping much from us. It makes sense that they would use the Alpha stages to test main components that absolutely require community interaction. However, there is definitely a lot you do not want to show the public, without an NDA, of what is to come. There is so much that I expect is behind a giant gift-wrapped box that says "Don't open until release!" It makes a lot of sense that they would keep some things behind a curtain to keep us interested, to keep us guessing, and so they can WOW us even harder in the Beta stages and upon release.

Alpha 2 will be at Least a year, been stated by Steven before. I honestly expect after experiencing A1 that it's likely to be 2 years. The two Betas, on the other hand, will be faster than expected.

I wish the economy was stable enough I could choose my diet as well. The off brand stuff is more than name brand was 2 or 3 years ago. Not even going into full on actual diets like Mediterranean or something.

I started Carnivore diet in Feb'23 and lost 50lbs. I then moved to whats called an Animal diet. It consists of Meat(mostly beef), raw unfiltered honey, A2 dairy, fruit & eggs. No veggies, no sugar, and especially no Soy or Corn syrup. Most guys don't realize how much Soy can affect their testosterone. The energy i have now is absolutely amazing and i love it.

It's probably gonna be 2 years of alpha-beta testing. We'll have alpha 2-beta 1-beta 2 within 2 years and then we get the game. I just hope they planned enough content that won't be touched during the testing period that tye players who haven't bought into it are not at a massive disadvantage.

On the topic of Alpha spoiling and burnout. Other than my first/high school sweetheart MMO, Ive had the absolute best experiences in the Betas. Life is Feudal, Mortal Online, Elder Scrolls Online, et cetera, were all just superior in player fun unspoilt by devs making 180's and balancing come launch. There is something to be said about Alphas/Betas just letting you have fun, not having to care about progression and other stuff.

I dont agree with you guys, i think alphas and betas will be arround 5-6 months, maybe a bit more if they rly need to fix some systems. I really believe Intrepid is doing the OG way of alpha and beta tests. I believe Alpha1 was focus on server stability and how their servers and client could handle people togther and colect data and more data and more data. Alpha2 is going to get data from all the systems,economy ,crafting, gathering, major exploits, major balance issues, etc... (maybe Naval) Also alpha2 will probably focus on main classes combat (no archetypes). In beta 1 i believe we will see some big updates on graphics, animations, UI, archetypes, general balance and more content to show (Quests, open Dung, Instance Dung, Raids and more open world Bosses) but i believe Steven wont show the majority of the content that will be on release. Finally beta 2 is close to release with some more final data to focus on balance, bugs and exploits. I trully believe Intrepid wont Launch AOC like modern companies do, with early access, beta releases, etc... sometime after Beta 2 is done the game will be launch for everyone. On a personal note, i beleive AOC need to nail the combat, if the combat is good this game will be one of the best MMO's the industry will see. I play MMO's since Ultima Online and i also played all the MMO's that inspired Steven to do Ashes (Archage and Lineage 2) This one will be special.

My take: A2 will last until end of 2025, early 2026 is gonna be beta 1 + 2, launch in Q3/Q4 2026. You read it here first

Considering the game has technically been *in* alpha for years already, I really don't see A2 taking more than 6 months but what do I know. Beta probably no more than half of that. We really just don't know the exact extent of what's done and what's being tweaked and polished so we will see!

I was wrong about when Alpha 2 is going to be dropping because like Mark I thought they were going to have a bit more confidence in themselves and understand that the whole point of the alpha is to be the one to do the testing for all the systems and shit and that the spot testing wouldn't need to be more than a few months with them maybe a month or two of adjusting Things based on the spot testing so that it doesn't instantaneously break but I guess we underestimated how fucking terrified they were of the brain-dead idiots who don't understand what an alpha is complaining again like they did with Alpha One

At least a year but if you start talking 2 or 3 years when it can be streamed and is out there for all to see if it is too long people will start to drop off and find other things. I honestly think there is a line they have to walk to maintain expectations. Steven has said time and time again they do not want to show us much of the content as they want it to be a surprise. This is why we have not seen any other zones because they want it to be discovered through A2 and build hype towards the eventual launch with all of the new areas revealed. The whole world may only be opened up during the beta phases just to try and keep a lid on some of the content. I know this is by far the most ambitious MMO ever undertaken and it is only in recent years they have had the dev numbers to create more content faster, but Steven has been saying for years that they are only showing us a tiny fraction of what they have created. Anyway, that's my opinion.

I'm glad that the severs won't be "online" constantly through A2.. That does make it sound like it's going to last a while. Stretch it out while mitigating the risk of burn out. Maybe a year.

I'm with the 1-2 years A2, but I don't think it will be all that bad for AoC like everyone seems to believe. I'm confident that a lot of content will be withheld from A2 as they've said time and again they don't want to reveal too much and spoil the experience for everyone. Systems connected to that "hidden from A2" content will probably be temporarily connected to "A2 approved" content for testing purposes and then removed from that specific testing implementation.

I am betting 1.5 years for A2, thats a realistic time for most things to be implemented.

It will probably be 2026, as we just don't have the information on how far along they are. So, we need to guess lol. Seeing the progress they have been making though does make me think of how much more they could do in 2 years.....making me guess 2026 lol

No way it lasts less than a year and a half. From what weve seen, what we know, barely anything is done. Nodes arent ready, weve been seeing just one map so far and not even much of it, we have seen 0 in terms of dungeons or raids, 0 naval content, almost nothing in terms of crafting, no 200 vs 200 people server stability tech proven, etc Its likely A2 will be delayed to late Q4 2024 or even Q1 2025. Best case game releases late 2026. Which is just fine. A good game being released after a pong time will be a success that came after a long time. A bad game released early will be a flop forever. 0:02

Im soooo confused! Why does every content creator think alpha 2 will be 1 year and then we will have launch? Does everyone forget there is supposed to be a beta and a beta2 after alpha 2?

What's Intrepids burn rate? How deep is Steven's pockets... Could he float 3 years and grow the team and not start getting revenue?

It will last a week and then you'll have to wait another year for launch.

Anything longer than 1 year of A2 is unrealistic and a poor business decision. A2 is a Q&A with all major systems in place that they have planned to have at launch.
