I haven’t built a new PC in a while, but your right from the looks of it! Intel is the budget performer! I’ve been using used ryzen chips for the LONGEST Time and they’re so cheap, BUT new they’re sooooo expensive. I think there is something going on in the market because even though intel is budget, the mobos definitely aren’t. Used market all the way, but this was a solid new build!

Hey Matt, just saw your video. A few changes I would make: If you don't have the extra $50, I would suggest spending extra $50 on a 12400 and $50 less on the GPU, like a GTX 1660 or RTX 2060 if you can find one at a decent price. If you're gonna not upgrade the system, you could get a less watt PSU, a system like that would only use about 300w, so going for a 400w PSU would be fine. Last thing, for the case, I've noticed with the DIY cases, they seem to be only available on Newegg. For international buyers that are not in the US, shipping is a lot more. I live in Australia and the shipping for the case you put was $94. I would suggest going with a case that can be bought more easily. Good choice of parts though.

I got a couple of questions, I am going to get a i5-12400F. Should I be concerned about my PSU and motherboard. Also how much better is the i5-12400F compared to the i3-12100F. Secondly should I get a 1TB ssd or can I/should I get a hdd with the ssd?
@Bosnia-nr8sh
@Bosnia-nr8sh 2 жыл бұрын
If you’re not planning at doing any overclocking on the CPU, then the motherboard should be no problem. I think the PSU would still be sufficient with the 12400f and rx 6600, but if you feel unsure, then maybe a 650-700w PSU is what you might want to get. As of right now, a good 1TB SSD can be at around $100. The cheapest one I seen was at $75 when in sale. The 12400F has two more performance core and four more threads. As the new consoles now come with eight cores, we can assume that newer games will actually start to use more than 4 cores giving some better marginal results when using an i5 to an i3. Assuming a storage budget of $100, it is generally considered better to get something like a 250-500GB SSD with a 2TB HDD as you can install your much need programs and most played games on the SSD, while having your HDD take the rest. Depending on what you plan to use the computer can change the recommendations, but this is what I’d go for when it comes to just gaming in the computer. Hope this helps ;)

@@Bosnia-nr8sh This helps a lot and thanks. The cpu is where i was a very lost so thanks, I'm thinking of keeping the PSU and then upgrading it when I want to upgrade something else later. Part of the reason is that I am cutting close with my budget and I have no plans in upgrading later. I'm keeping the 1TB ssd because I am planning on having a lot of games installed as on my current computer I am using 0.9/1.5TB.

I would have to disagree with Matt's choice of going only with a 500gb SSD. If you do go with the SN570 sure out of the 250GB it is a decent price but I would highly recommend either getting a 2tb HDD along with it or just getting the 1 or 2tb version of the SSD because nowadays 500GB's really is not going to get you far. Sure it would have been acceptable several years ago but for a gaming rig I do not see 500gb getting you very far a lot of games especially triple A titles easily take 50 or more GBS for example the game that uses the most storage that I have is GTA V which takes up 105 GB's of storage. This also doesn't mention the other things you might want on your PC such as Pictures, Applications, and any shows, movies, anime you might install.

We got the exact same parts from your video and followed the instructions to the T, but unfortunately we aren't getting any signal to the monitor. We've checked using two different working monitors. We've replaced the RAM with other RAM. We've replaced the power cabling. And we've disassembled it and re-assembled it. For naught. Intel's i3-12100 being given the IPC / speed boost etc it has, has given it a little more life / longevity, otherwise a quad-core in 2022 would be a waste of silicon imo for a gaming setup. Currently Intel does have the budget performance crown over AMD. A little tit-for-tat between the 2 big CPU companies is great to see and drives each to innovate more! I think AMD isn't putting much effort into quad-core CPUs' as many titles now and going forward are utilising 6+ cores and most of its threads and for basic office setups the quad-core is able to drive many generic office tasks.

All cool, except this price isn't considering the tons of other peripherals required (in around $250) Soooo a $900 (currently, its not even Black Friday yet) Leveno Legion 5 is not a bad deal if you feel building a PC is overwhelming (I don't blame you I'm in hs and don't got time to mess with all this 🤣)

I just helped my son put together his first pc build and followed this tutorial to the letter. I bought all of the parts listed in the video and bought an AOC monitor. When we turned it on we get a "No signal" error from the monitor. We've double checked the VGA cable is plugged into the graphics card but can't seem to get the monitor to communicate with the PC... any suggestions?

@@yuuri3295 it does work, you have to leave the molar fan as is, don’t move the way it’s plugged in when you get it. Just leave it as is and connect it to your powersupply. It’s been a while since I’ve ordered this case and have sense sold it but basically even if you try and plug it directly to the fan it won’t work it comes with another cable and connected with one of them first before the other Basically just leave it as you got it and simply plug it in don’t move or tinker with the cables
