Every human life is of importance, but every animal life is of importance too!!! Only animals have no voice, that is why they need us...
@calebwhittington3749

Why are animals lives important, but not plants? Are they not living as well? Animals never had rights until we fostered the paradoxical culture of "kill nothing". We must kill to survive, all things must. I dare you to challenge it.
@crislogan4466
@crislogan4466 9 жыл бұрын
+Caleb Whittington It's quite a leap to say that a plant's survival mechanism is the same as to that of an animal. This is why you'll often hear the word "sentient" being instead of "living" beings used by vegans. Simply put a sentient being (chicken, cow etc) is one whose cognitive faculties are such that they can clearly feel pain, discern survival conditions, have preferences, express emotion etc. That's why is illogical to say that a plant has the same level of consciousness as a cow. And we don't need to kill to survive.
@calebwhittington3749
@calebwhittington3749 9 жыл бұрын
Cris Logan It has been proven that plants can feel pain. If you hit or step on a plant, it can feel it. And who cares? All things must kill something else to survive, whether its humans killing plants, or animals killing animals, or whatever. You would cry if you saw a dog die, but you step on ants everyday without one single thought. Are not they both animals? This proves that it has nothing to do with animals and their supposed rights, it has to do with the toxic culture we have fostered in this supposedly civilized society.A culture that treats all living and non living objects as if they were human. We don't need to kill to survive? Excuse me? Every single thing you have every eaten and ever will eat had something within it made of something dead. Dead plants, dead animals, dead organisms, etc. You do need to kill to survive, hard fact of life, and as I said, I dare you to challenge it.
@crislogan4466
@crislogan4466 9 жыл бұрын
+Caleb Whittington Arguing that it is stupid to avoid doing something "more morally wrong" just because you already do something "less morally wrong" seems a bit odd, and it is definitely not something we would think in other areas of human life. We can watch a 30 minute video of what goes on in a slaughterhouse and then watch a 30 minute video of a bunch of people picking strawberries and then sit down and discuss what we watched, surely you can see how's not the same. Im glad you talked about dogs, because the argument "plants feel pain too" makes sense just about like telling the Chinese they should eat humans because "dogs are emotional and intelligent too"
@calebwhittington3749
@calebwhittington3749 9 жыл бұрын
Cris Logan I don't know where you find your morals, but I get mine from the Bible, and killing animals isn't morally wrong. The reason people are so sympathetic towards animals and not plants is because animals resemble humans in many ways, they make noises, they appear to show emotion, etc. These days we're even taught we are animals. Plants do none of these things, but plants are still living, and can still feel pain, whether you can see them experience it or not. If killing is wrong, killing is wrong, why pick and choose what living thing you kill? Sounds hypocritical to me. Explain to me why killing large animals is morally wrong, but killing anything else, like plants or ants, isn't?

+Cyrus Moores We should not hunt animals either. Maybe if there is an over population of animals like deer or elk and they do not have enough food to support their population and the deer or elk are starving then maybe hunting some of the deer or elk might be justified. Most of the time we need to respect animals right to live.

God! Feels so good seeing people talking what I've been talking and how we are/were "crazy", "stupid", "idiots", etc. The only way to save our self is to work with nature because we are a part of it. ANIMALS are very smart they help us everyday and still is so hard for us to make that connection... if we worked even harder trying to understand their senses, communication, etc. We would have been much more advanced as we are now because humans were always aspiring from something. Really happy to see people like her! WELLDONE! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Regardless of what people may say about PETA, I will always be grateful to them as they are definitely to credit for me going vegan (8 years ago this month BTW :)). And like Simone Reyes, I too first made the connection via a PETA anti fur leaflet. I was 17. I then went vegetarian 6 years later...for whatever that was worth (which was actually very little considering I still foolishly consumed dairy and eggs for the entire 15 years as a vegetarian). But, I digress...

I think that the lack of compassion towards animals itself is a poison, their bodies absorb the experiences they have of the ways they are treated and people in turn absorb that energy into their bodies, slaughter, neglect, cruelty.. animals are everyday suffering some of the worst of human behavior and when people partake of those animals they are eating not only an animal, but a lifetime of abusive experience. It makes sense to me now that people are so mean to each other... treating each other like the same animals as it were.

NICK COIN first of all you either include everybody in 1 category or not, if you do not you are making exceptions and you are making gray areas. that is why the justice system is a bad one and why the world is fucked up. and your argument about killing humans is retarded, killing your own species ( that we are already doing with chemicals in our products of any kind) is against any laws of self conservation and survival. my reasoning is this, we should respect animals, don't torture them and shit like that, but meat is meat and food is food, we are top dog and we have been eating meat for 1,8 mil years, so the strong, smart, more adapted will survive and the weak will be only a tool used for theirs survival.

It Pains me that there is so much ignorance amongst these comments. this woman has devoted her life to helping animals and some of you are so painfully rude. She has nothing to gain but freedom and salvation in her heart that she is helping our fellow beings. Every living being has the right to life. It is as simple as that. If there are eyes and a beating heart and a mind, then thoughts are happening. I find it so painful that just because we cannot understand their language we can so easily tune out. She compared the slavery of people to the current slave trade in animals because that is exactly what it is. To be born into captivity ... work all your life.and then end up in the slaughter house to be hung upside down and watch your own blood drain from your body .. then to be burned boiled and dismembered and served as a happy meal is just chronically wrong. That people can happily switch off and disconnect is what is fundamentally wrong with the us as a human race. I pray that we as a race start to recognise that we need the animals for our survival.. without so many of them our fragile eco system breaks down... and only then will people regard SIMONE REYES as a hero..I pray that people hear her message deep in their soul and our spiritual selves remember that we are all sentient beings with souls and are one. One Love.

LOve her passion. Animals don't deserve to be treated this way, and sometimes it takes getting peoples attention, for them to come to the 'gothca' moment and stop harming animals. Animals die horribly in terrible conditions, so are we as humans just suppose to be polite about that to the point of crying, instead of making passionate speeches to show people why this matters, and to poignantly make the case against violence to animals ? I think we need this approach for some people, just as others are taken in by the 'heart' approach as some say. Everyone is different.
@AlisUnicornFarm
@AlisUnicornFarm 10 жыл бұрын
@shaqattack56 The point she is trying to make is that people fight for whatever rights no matter what other people think. And if you think about it, animals are treated as slaves. They are tortured, abused, and killed in many labs, slaughter houses and in entertainment such as circuses. Except for them, they have no voice. All they can do is scream and hope that some people have a heart to speak up for them.

this was a MASSIVE wake-up call for me. i've always wanted to save animals, but never, in my ENTIRE LIFE, imagined how evil factory farms and slaughter-houses are. i always say "Adopt, don't shop" when it comes to getting a pet. Also, if a dog/cat is misbehaving, i say "blame the deed, NOT the breed". i literally could not comprehend how evil these acts were. the photos filled me with horror and fury. NO animal should suffer at the hands of a human. i will NEVER go to another zoo/circus again. Not even if my parents offer to pay me.

The ignorant shit people come out with to excuse and justify the fact that they are too selfish to make an iota of effort.I live on bloody beans on toast, I can't be arsed to cook from scratch but I'd rather do that than eat animals. I love your optimism Ralph, but I've had so many 'debates' on-line with people who not only don't need be to be educated about the horrors that animals go through but honestly don't care. Their arrogant belief is that we are top of the food chain and that a lion doesn't care about an antelope so that's fine as it's the way of the world. Apex predators are needed to maintain the health of the herd as they pick off the weak and sick and old. How this is comparable to our cruel factory farming methods I fail to see but having a battle of wits with some of these people is like fighting with an unarmed opponant so I what can you do with this attitude? I'm glad there are a few of us with hearts, Ralph and maybe between all of us we'll have an effect but the status quo is too profitable and obesity is making money for industry even though it's crippling the NHS. Keep fighting the good fight though, eh?

Eight days of fruit (fresh & dried), nuts (best soaked for 24 hours), seeds (also soaked), vegetables (ideally raw or lightly cooked), salads and water. After eight days your taste buds will, most likely, disapprove of cheese and meat - they'll maybe even cause headaches or make you feel nauseous.
@pardalote95
@pardalote95 10 жыл бұрын
Charlie Pritchard Interesting idea but not always correct. I recently fasted for 10 days (with the minor exception of two small portions of fruit). It was spontaneous to deal with a viral infection. Any food then make me nauseous. However, when my appetite returned, which it did gradually, the only thing my body wanted was bread and eggs. It makes sense from a survival point of view. I don't eat meat anyway but cheese rapidly also became acceptable. Now everything is acceptable again. I think that says something about what's natural for our bodies, irrespective of the moral dimension. I have always relied on my taste buds. They reject all processed and accept all pure or natural foods.
@1954Chaz
@1954Chaz 10 жыл бұрын
pardalote95 A human does not NEED any animal products to be healthy... in fact health is easier to achieve without any animal products. It is a total fallacy. Your taste buds are just latching onto the addictiveness. I now - mine used to... humans crave sweet (and addictive) food. For example cheese contains addictive compounds and milk has "morphine" to make the calf come back for more. Just eat a sensible vegan diet and you, like millions of others, will be much healthier!! Meat, cheese, dairy is clearly not as healthy as a sensible vegan diet.
@pardalote95
@pardalote95 10 жыл бұрын
1954Chaz I answered this and it has disappeared. So, here it is again. If humans don't now need animal products to be healthy that's because B12 can now be obtained from bacteria which, strictly, speaking, are also animals and Omega 3 is readily got fro seaweed. It has not always been so. My taste buds had nothing to do with the experience I reported. The point was it was entirely a matter of what my stomach would accept and the point of that was that a weakened system seemed to want the quick fix of animal protein. I agree humans tend to like sweets and fat but I have no cravings for any particular food so that assumption is unsound. As to morphine I think you should check your facts. Infant calves are removed from their mothers within a day or two of birth and the last thing any milk producer wants is to make a calf drink more milk. If there is morphine in milk it wasn't put there by humans. In any case it would be illegal in Australia where I am writing from.

You can also look at the concept of being "startled". Animals and humans have the same conditioned reflex - the lifting of the head, the tightening of the neck muscles which allow rapid changes of head direction to be instigated without muscle damage. The opening wide and dilation of the eyes - all part of the conditioned reflex to allow information about what is going on in the immediate surrounding to be gathered quickly so the brain can make a fight or flight response.

Thank you Simone for a brilliant, powerful and motivating speech. Personally I think that eating cheese and eggs from genuinely well cared for animals (few as they are these days) is justifiable and meat too ,perhaps, in a survival situation but I agree with every word you said on the question of cruelty and factory farming (including miscalled free range enterprises). When the day comes that animals are free of the, "dread and fear", of humans, in that day we too will be free of the dread and fear of (other) humans and the guilt and fear of karmic reprisals. That's something a lot of people don't think of. In the mean time karma is working out anyway. People are knowingly eating meat poisoned with growth hormones, antibiotics and above all, I think, stress hormones, and are slowing dying of it and other contaminated foodstuffs. It's madness! Who was it said that, "whom the gods wish to destroy they first send mad"? Whoever that was,he was right.

Animals do feel and care. I have anxiety panic disorder and whenever I cry my family members, two kitties, the first thing they do is check on me. They nuzzle me, they lick me, they do anything to comfort me. If I can't stop crying they meow with me rather loudly. When their son passed away and I was in mourning, they mourned with me, they didn't leave my side not a single minute, we would go hours without eating, depression and grief can affect everyone, even those who have fur, walk on four legs, or have tails, fins, it doesn't matter, what is on the outside cannot determine the ability to feel.

She lost me with all the feminazi nonsense. The worst she can point to in so far as discrimination goes is *name calling*! As if that is done exclusively by men to women. It's not. It's primarily done by women and directed to other women. Sure though, men _do_ insult women. So what? It's not as if women don't call us names. We're okay with it though. We fight for our countries. We spill blood in the battlefield for our families, and for what? It's not a patriarchy you live in, you tool. If anything, our society is the closest thing to a matriarchy that it has ever been. Open your eyes. I commend you on being a vegan, but it's a pity that you're as naive as to think that feminism has a place in western society.

What about other animals that eat animals? Why should we be the only animals held accountable?
@itsnotrael
@itsnotrael 10 жыл бұрын
Other animals usually hunt down and eat their prey because they HAVE TO. They cannot survive otherwise because their ways of getting the required nutrients are limited, and they probably cannot distinguish between right and wrong. All of this is in contrast to humans - we have no necessity to eat animal products (it's unhealthy as well) and we are able to make well-considered choices and therefore have a higher responsibility for our actions. Hope I could answer your question sufficiently.

***** Thanks for your response. I'm not so sure most people put eating meat in the "wrong" category. Meaning either it's not wrong or most humans cannot distinguish between right and wrong. On a side note, when do you think humans evolved to the point where we acquired a higher responsibility for our actions?

I think the problem is that we don't need to kill the animals we want to eat so it became an abstract action that the public don't really recognize. If all people had to kill their food i think there would be more vegans....
@itsnotrael
@itsnotrael 10 жыл бұрын
Joe Giuffre To your first point, I think that has a lot to do with tradition and manipulation, we are brought up to think that these animals are pets and those animals are foods - in other countries for example it's the other way around. There is a very interesting presentation which explains this further: "101 - Reasons to go Vegan". Well I'm not exactly sure what you mean with "evolve". I guess cavemen didn't have a choice when they couldn't get plant food in winter, but when they had enough of those they rarely ever ate meat (at least that's what I heard, not too sure). But at the point when we are able to see the consequenses of our actions, and that it's crucial for other beings who have the same will of life and freedom as we do, when it's easily avoidable, we should be responsible for those actions. It's not a shame to not know things, but keep a critical and open mind and once you get the information and you know what the right decision would be, I think you should make the choice you think is right, not convenient.

I'm vegan and African American and I get making the comparison of slavery to becoming vegan BUT it needs to be better articulated than "slavery versus animal rights!" We, as a society differentiate between being human and being animals. My ancestors were not animals. Slavery was worse because we understood so much more, cognitively, what had happened, what is happening and what might happen. I'd respect the comparison much more IF speakers gave a more in-depth talk on slavery and how violent and vicious the perpetrators were/are and how African-Americans continue to "suffer" today and how other people benefited and continue to benefit from it. If we can understand that and come to terms with that THEN it would be a short step to people becoming vegan AND respect for ALL LIFE!

Concern for moral responsibility is good, but personally I cannot in good conscience protest for Animal Rights knowing there are homeless starving on the streets, our vets returning broken and needing help, that we as humans are so busy killing each other over ridiculous things as whose god said what. --- From a one time immigrant that lived at the poverty line to an entitled sheltered socialite: We are people too. We are important too, more important than a chicken, a dog, or livestock.

Once you realize that animal rights = human rights, you'll probably change your tune. We can't end one form of suffering without ending the other. They are linked.
@gsgaidan10
@gsgaidan10 9 жыл бұрын
InvisiMan2006 Okay, allow me to explain in depth, politely of course: No they don't. You cannot equate or link the rights of an animal to those of a human because it's foolish to assume that ending "animal suffering" will solve the far greater and encompassing human societal problems notwithstanding that they are two different things. --- Equating animal with human suffering is in essence substituting a surrogate for a greater issue not willing to be confronted. It is far easier to fight for an animal than it is another human because of how we compartmentalize each other and the cultural and societal differences even within a single population. Moreover, humans are still inclined to regard each other differently based on overt social and cultural markers as well as inherent biases. --- Finally, and most importantly, equating human to animal rights is erroneous and illogical because it ignores the fundamental nature of "rights." Nothing is born with "rights" because "rights" are an artificial existence created by humans for humans. It can only exist if two or more organisms are capable of and willing to understand, honor and follow a basic social contract. These "rights" stem from our society and hinge on the that, all of which Animals are incapable of.
@InvisiMan2006
@InvisiMan2006 9 жыл бұрын
I Ren You are limiting yourself by thinking that way. I help animals and many people at the same time - there's no conflict between the two. Also, the term "rights" doesn't mean "right to vote" or anything we'd attribute to human actions. A "right" in the context of non-human animals is simply the right to live free of unnecessary harm. Since humans are perfectly capable of living without the need to cause unnecessary harm AND we are perfectly capable of understand what that harm represents, that should be our moral baseline. If you're decapitating pigs or forcefully confining circus animals, you can't expect the same people to care for the poor or homeless. There's too much of an internal moral conflict to make those actions genuine. Nobody in the animal rights movement is fighting for EQUAL RIGHTS between humans and non-human animals - perhaps that's a misconception put out animal exploiters, but it's far from the truth.
@gsgaidan10

InvisiMan2006 You cannot understand the world without first understanding the rules within which to work. Reality is both ugly and complicated, time and effort consuming. You can't solve societal and cultural issues based on sentiment alone. Besides, animals literally have no "rights" in any sense aside from the laws of nature which fortunately or unfortunately is "survival of the fittest" and seeing as I am selfish, I deign to put my own species first. --- While the sentimental part of me wishes that our pets, per say, stay with us because there is mutual love and trust and that I must protect them, the logical and rational part of me informs me that it is a simple law of nature - dominance and mutual benefit.

I only made it 3:15 in before I had to stop watching. Comparing animal rights to the emancipation of slaves, women's suffrage, and gay rights is absurd. I don't think anyone would suggest that animals deserve the right to vote, equal opportunity in education, the right to marry, etc... Human slaves were HUMAN BEINGS. Women are HUMAN BEINGS. Homosexuals.... well, some animals display homosexual behavior, but in this context she is talking about HUMAN BEINGS. Animals ARE NOT HUMAN BEINGS. If termites were devouring your house would you call an exterminator, or would you let them destroy your home because they have the same rights as you and I to make their living? There are many valid reason to go vegan. "Animals are just like people" is not one of them.

dovregubben78 YOu think I care that much what you think, you are delusional, and a violent person, given your own words: " I don't think anyone would suggest that animals deserve the right to vote, equal opportunity in education, the right to marry, etc... " Meaning what ? Just because animals can't vote, they also don't deserve to live a life void of suffering ? Is this your true feelings, equating to your being completely out of touch , with reality. YOu proved my point. Im so sorry you have so little faith in your own debate skills, that you lower yourself to worrying about what other people _+1 LOL Weak dude, real weak. THe fact you don't understand, the 'slavery' of animals, is all anyone needs to understand, to show how out of touch with reality you really are. Empathy being such a 'dirty' word to you, shows your true colors, and your rotting character. I'ts just a shame, that your ability to empathize for a sentient creature, is only judged by the ability of that being to have the capability to speak up for its rights and hold a weapon. TO prove eliza correct, you still don't get it. While you're at the 'reply' to this, since I know you can't help yourself, why don't you tell us all, the reason you have no empathy for innocent creatures who can't protect themselves ? That's what is at the heart of this entire debate, the why, of the lacking empathy of your character. Tell us won't you, why its ok with you, that these innocent animals, are abused and suffer , for your taste buds , when we know, there are huge reasons not to do so, and to eat vegan diet, not the LEAST of them, is global warming, as if you care about humans either, given your lackluster apathy for innocent animals.

***** you said: "...you are delusional, and a violent person, given your own words: 'I don't think anyone would suggest that animals deserve the right to vote, equal opportunity in education, the right to marry, etc... '" So, that statement -- the one immediately above this sentence -- makes me a delusional, violent person? How so? Wow Lee, that's the best one yet! :-D You know nothing about me. For all you know I might be vegan. It's possible for a person to be vegan without believing animals are equal to humans, isn't it? Or I could be lacto-ovo vegetarian, or maybe pescatarian. But my diet is completely irrelevant to the discussion. The point is that comparing animal rights to human rights is absurd. And as I stated in another discussion Lee, you and I probably agree on a lot of issues. I believe that factory farming is unethical, unhealthy, harmful to the environment, and harmful to the economy. But I do believe that it is possible to raise livestock in a more ethical way. I'm sure you disagree with that. I also believe that ocean fishing needs to stop. But I'm not just going to talk about how terrible it is on the internet and call people names if they disagree with me. I plan on building a saltwater aquaponics system, and it is my hope that one day I can develop technology that will make it commercially viable. What are you planning to do about your moral outrage?

Instead of trying to ban meat, why not try to ban the abusive conditions the animals are put through? Ban factory farms, and have all animals raised on local farms. Not only will it be more humane for the animals, but more workers could be hired to help raise and feed the animals, thus nipping two problems: animal cruelty, and job scarcity.

While I do agree that animals deserve rights and deserve far better treatment than they have ever received from people, I do not for a second believe we are herbivores. I love animals, somewhat more than I care for other people, but to say that we weren't meant to eat meat is pretty false. If we were true herbivores we would have no desire for meat at all. Our brains would not even process the thought of killing another animal for food. I mean cows don't up and decide one day that they want to eat chicken and then set forth to hunting, killing, and consuming them. We are absolutely omnivores, we are "opportunistic" in our food choice, and stating that because we don't jump at the chance to eat roadkill when we see it is an "obvious" inclination we are herbivores is also a very bold statement. Coyotes don't usually eat roadkill. They are very scared of the traffic and much prefer live prey. They will eat it if they are starving though. But humans don't eat roadkill, not because we are herbivores at heart, but because we are very intelligent and know that roadkill is not a very "healthy" choice for dinner. Animals, in my opinion, are the only truly innocent creatures on the planet. They do not know evil. They only know instinct, and that is why I love them so much. But we are definitely the top of the food chain. I do believe the way we have stayed at the top is nothing short of complete disregard for life due to how we breed, torture, keep animals in horrid living conditions, and slaughter them for constant food supply for our overly gluttonous living style. I do, however, believe that humans deserve to be at the top because we are extremely intelligent. So much so that we can literally hunt absolutely anything. Animals kill other animals, it is a simple fact. Some do it for food, others for mating, some to protect themselves or offspring, and some to protect their territory. We are also animals. Very intelligent animals, but animals. So in order to survive we must feed just like every single other animal on the planet, and because we are "opportunistic" eaters that means eating both plant and animal life. So we hunt other animals or kills other animals for food just like any other animal that hunts and kills would. Like I said before, if we were true herbivores then why would we have the desire for meat in the first place? I believe as creatures of thought and of instinct we have earned the right to be the top of the food chain since we have almost no limitation on what we can hunt. Plus, I'm sure that we would be on another animals grocery list if we weren't so intelligent in the first place. I do not think we are more important than any other animal though. I mean let's be honest, if humans were wiped off the planet and everything else remained besides us, the planet would absolutely thrive. Humans are like a virus. Infecting one area until it's natural resources have been depleted then moving onto another. We do absolutely nothing but destroy. Don't get me wrong we have made enormous advancements in creation such as technology, medicine, and economic growth. But the simple fact is for everything we create we destroy ten times more. But I digress, we are omnivores. Plain and simple. We have very ridged teeth that are absolutely perfect for the consumption of both meat and plants. I have absolutely no issue with anyone deciding against eating meat. If anything I'm very proud that someone could make such a life changing decision for the sake of another living creature. But I also have absolutely no issue with anyone eating meat. It is an instinct of human nature to desire meat as a food option, and the fact that you have to try so hard and argue so much to convince someone to stop is a clear sign that we were meant to eat meat as well. I apologize if this offends people, which of course it will, but I just think forcing your views and opinions on other people is completely wrong. Everything I have said has not been to push any sort of agenda, Just to kind of hopefully send maybe some sort of message. Whichever you choose, whether it be vegan or to eat meat and everything in between, make sure it's in your best interest. If you want to stop hamburgers because you can't stand the thought of cows being treated so inhumanely then that's amazing and I definitely applaud you. Maybe you want to stop because to just think that being vegan or vegetarian is healthier and will make it easier for you to sustain a much healthier life style then also amazing. Maybe you hate the thought of how inhumanely cows are treated but absolutely can't live without steak, then I also think that's a great way to think. And if somehow you don't care about the way animals are treated just as long as you get your dinner, then you aren't watching this video most likely so that's not something I would need to address in this. I love meat. It is very delicious if cooked properly and is definitely good when accompanied by veggies, but I still have a great deal of respect for the animal that that meat came from. People that treat animals horribly I believe are complete garbage. I do not condone the way the meat industry keeps up with the demand and the way they treat the animals, it absolutely breaks my heart. And I absolutely believe in trying to bring an end to it so that we can at least give them much better living conditions with a fuller, happier life. I don't believe screaming "shame" at someone in the street for wearing fur or leather is the correct way to go about getting these changes done. I believe that openly admitting that even though we are omnivores that doesn't mean we have to treat the animals that we decide to eat with such cruelty. And while I do not believe it is extremely healthy to survive on one or the other as far as meat vs vegan is concerned is very healthy, as intelligent beings we can definitely make that decision ourselves for ourselves. Hopefully you've read this comment in it's entirety and didn't stop halfway and decide to "rip me a new one", because you won't. Just read it and think on it a bit or share it or whatever you see fit. I don't think anyone should have to have someone else's opinion and views be pushed on them so as you read this I hope that is not the conclusion you came to. Just got tired of seeing a bunch of videos of people comparing certain things and saying things that didn't really make any sort of sense. I couldn't tackle everything and I definitely repeated myself constantly, but if you watch this video or any other video similar to this and are thinking about where you might stand or what you believe just make sure that it's because it's what you believe and feel is right and not because it's what someone else told you is right. If you eat meat or if you're solely vegan, either way I don't believe you're in the wrong. It's human nature to desire both because we were meant to eat both, but in no way should what you eat be decided by someone else. You are you and they are not. I do believe in supporting the movement to help give these animals much better lives though. They haven't done anything wrong and really do not deserve to be treated as if they had.

Hey I definitely support that. I think it's great that people want to do things like that to do their part to not only help protect what they can of the planet but to speak up for animals that can't speak up for themselves. I definitely support it. I don't support the notion that we aren't meant to eat meat though. Being a vegan, while in some ways is very healthy and does help in a lot of ways, isn't natural for humans. We were obviously meant to eat meat otherwise we wouldn't have the tools to do so. I love animals. More than people. So I'm not disagreeing with you or anyone else being vegan. I'm only disagreeing that we weren't meant to eat meat.

Chris Camp if you were designed to eat meat then why are we feeling uncomfortable when we watch slaughter videos of animals? why are we not eating raw meat like the rest of the omnivores? why is meat not healthy for us? why are our teeth not as sharp as real omnivores? why is it that meat only tastes good when we cook it with seasoning and oil which is plant based? why are there so many healthy vegans and why are there so many meat eaters dying from diabetes and heart disease? why would a baby play with an animal not try to eat it?

Darwin taught us that the strong survive and the weak die off. Since the very first life forms on this planet the strong have eaten the weak. 3.5 billion years of the strong eating the weak. This is the way of Darwin. This is the way of Mother Earth. Every life form on this planet has the right to eat the weak. By the authority of Darwin and Mother Earth.

Great speech. One thing that drives me crazy is when Vegans put Vegan and Vegetarian in the same category. Please don't. Vegetarian diets are no different than Omnivore diets. Same, if not more, cruelty. The Dalai Lama isn't Vegan.
