The Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT Audio system leaves room for improvement. I personally wanted more sound quality and more bass output, but I didn't want to add a huge subwoofer enclosure that would eat up cargo space, or have amplifiers in the open and exposed. Let's take a look at the custom car audio system that I choose for my Jeep Wrangler in order to improve the sound and bass!

Your thinking and doing the stealth way and I believe in this philosophy. If it isn’t obvious, it’s less likely to become a target for thieves. Having greater options in amp mounting and amp choices makes this an easy sell for a shop. You get great sound and it is not obvious and you still have full access to your storage areas. That’s a triple winner there Mark. Great ideas and a great system with lots of options. Can’t lose! Stay safe mates!😊👍🏻😷

It’s so gratifying to know that you’re a fellow Jeep guy :-) I was wondering what you were going to do with the downward-firing speaker bar. It’s real different than mid-ranges firing at your knees. Anyway, spectacular build. The separate top-off/top-on tunings is pretty freaking awesome 😎

Interesting amp under seat mounting plates. I DID C2 (real tweeter) excellent. Stepping up to C7 / VX800 3 way active, rear 6x9 kind of 30 times the price but it is JL for life.

Huge JL fanboy ever since my teens when I swapped out a Rockford 400a4 directly with 300/4 and noticed the difference immediately, but $230 for just the bracket alone to mount a single amp under a seat is absurd. JL should be ashamed.

Great video! I also have the Stinger Heigh10 in my JL and was wondering what you have set for your EQ and Crossover settings? I upgraded all the speakers to Hertz DCX series with no additional amp and have 2 subwoofer/amp combos under the front seats.

Great video and nice setup. I’m running 2 Stealthboxes in my JL as well. I have a question…when running the power wire under the passenger side seat, what route did you use once it’s through the fire wall? I’m looking to add a 2nd amp to power my aftermarket soundbar speakers.

I would love to know if you've listened to a JL with the upgraded factory Alpine system, and if you have you're thoughts on it. I think it's one of the best OEM system I've heard.

4:50 Using that tub would lock the heat up in the storage area, too. Amps should never go someplace where air can't get out/come in.

I have two kids so I was reluctant to place under seat (liquid spills). I have a JL XD700 with two crossovers in the storage tub. Went on a 8 hour drive when it was 88 degrees and encountered no issues.

The fuse holder i think i would have went and got a touch up paint can of the jeep white , rough sanded and panted just the top to make it disappear more into the fender ...

Great video, and timely for me. Researching my next Jeep right now. Thanks for the great content, I'm learning a lot from you. I see the JL Audio under seat amp mount recommended a lot, but no discussion on the impact of having the back seat HVAC vent blowing on the amp. Would be great in the summer to help keep it cool, but what about during the winter when running the heater? Should we be concerned with having the heater blow across a class A/B amp? Thanks for your time

Have you looked at upgrading the sound bar, DS18 or American Sound Bar make some nice upgrades, We went with the American Sound bar and 4 8" mid and two tweeters. Ran with some Skar Marine Amp and Infinity 8" marines with RGB. Sounds Awesome on the trails. Would love to send you some pics of our setup on out JK

Hii... I need some advice and thought you can help... the live and ground wires accidentally touched on my amp, would you maybe be able to tell me what I should replace inside my amp to make it turn on again... now it just blows my inline fuse by the battery... thanks in advance.

Hi Mark. I have a Jimny 2020, that Is pretty similar to a Wrangler Sport. I bougth a 4 channel amp, for my front components and rear coaxial. Do you recomend to amp the components and coax or only the tweeter and midwoofers with active crossover?

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on the the enclosures but want to upgrade with high end subs. Last question lol! Do you know how deep the enclosure is to assist in picking out a sub? Excellent work my friend, You almost sold me on buying a Jeep Wrangler just to replicate this set up. Lol I do however have a 2019 ram 1500 limited with the Harman kardon 19 speaker system . I wish someone would do a video on the JL audio stealth Box with the 2 tens for the 1500s. I have a 12W6v3 in a porter Box that I was running in my 2017 Cadillac CTS, before I got the truck now it's just sitting in the garage. Do you think your 2 sealed tens would put out more base than a ported 12W6V3, Running the same 600W to either??

JL needs to engineer a couple tensioning bars that go between the roll cage bars and put pressure on the fiberglass roof to dampen it. Or maybe a CAF product?? I'll split it with you and help with R&D!

Are you sure those C2-350x's fit. I went on crutchfield and it said they don't fit. I have a 2021 jeep Sahara with the alpine system. would the JL's be a better upgrade?

One solution for the ppl listening at home is using binaural microphone IL will do wonders and give a very nice impression of how the system performs That's how @jimroomreviews do in his channel when testing new headphones

I had alpine s types in the front originally in the front of my wrangler and i switched them out for focal k2's. They sound no different, the stock enclosure for the tweeters is awful.

Hey Mark, what is your opinion on doing dual 12" subs in the back vs. dual 10's ? Are 12's overkill for a jeep wrangler (4 door) or??? *are there any advantages/disadvantages? Thanks for another great video...they are inspiring and i'm taking notes.

Dual 8s would be just fine. It’s not the speaker, it’s the box that makes the difference. Personally, not a fan of JL audio, way too much money for what you get, but to each his own.

I believe that grommet you used is for the clutch on the manual models and if its is a manual its a bit harder to find a place to go through

Just starting to research upgrades for my Jeep sound system. i’m kind of shocked that people spend $5000 plus to do this. Wondering if you found a more economical solution since you posted this question?
