I just made the holes into more of a vertical slot because the horizontal alignment was right on but we're a tad bit closer together vertically. If you have a different van, you'll probably use different brackets, and you'd need a different modification. I think my rain gutter mounts were made to mount an ARB awning

It's actually been installed for a year now -- I just didn't get around to putting the video together for a while. No issues at all

I got the larger size. I believe it was something like 6 or 7 feet by 8 feet. Quality of course is lower than a $1000+ big name awning, but we are happy with it so far :). We find we don't put our awning up TOO often, I'd say maybe of the 3.5 months we've been on the road, we've had it up a total of 2-3 weeks. I'd imagine in the summer we'd have it up more often (sometimes we just park the van so it casts a shade for us). I did damage the awning shortly after purchasing (my own fault - left it up in rain) but patched the hole and rigged up a snapped pole. You can see more deets on that incident in my other comment 👍
