As someone who cut their teeth on an ender 3 pro, I appreciate these budget minded printers becoming increasingly more reliable, simple to setup, and just plain easier. I love my old ender but it became a constant tinkering job rather than just printing stuff.

I love seeing a budget printer that just works! The latest BIQU printers and the Creality CR-6 SE are also a very nice value for the cost, with auto leveling, silent steppers, and a range of standard fan loudness. The ringing you see in some prints may be eliminated or reduced by a future firmware update, since Input Shaping will be a new option. But even now the results are very clean. It looks like it has G2/G3 arcs, but maybe they are just sliced very fine…?

Wasn't in the market for a new printer... until now. You sold me on it, Devin. I've had nothing but trouble with my Maker Select Plus in recent months. Might be time to replace it.

You shoulddefinitely check out the Sv-06, I got it 2 weeks ago and by far out of my 3 3d printers I have it's the best. The only complaint I have is that it's a kinda small print bed, but otherwise it is truly a masterpiece of a printer. LOVE IT!!!

Did you remember to recalibrate the printer when you you took off the nozzle, because a typical problem with levelling is is when you have changed the nozzle you can easily have changed the height of the nozzle compared to the height of them probe

I gave this to my grandson for Christmas. He is 13 & has a friend with a different brand. He said his friend’s 3D printer has a cable to connect to computer, but no cable came with the Sovol and manual was not helpful. Can you describe how you install patterns to print?

It is possible to connect via USB cable, but I prefer using the included microSD card. So you'll plug the card reader (should also be included) into your computer and save gcode files onto it. Then plug that card into the printer the run the files. I like that because you don't need to keep the computer on it have one nearby

When do you do the z axis offset when leveling? Is that at the home position or the center spot that you can pick from aux level? Thanks for your time 👍

I do it from the auto level menu, when it homes in the center, adjust z offset, hit save and check. But it can also be adjusted live while printing

Looking at their site they have a dual extruder printer that uses bowden... Oh I'm so conflicted on which is a better buy.

After watching your vids I bought some Poly Tera ... but my prints never look as good as yours ... how do you get Poly Tera to look so good? Also, it almost never seems to stick to my bed properly.

Torn between SV06 or SV01 Pro for my first printer. Like the build size of the sv01pro but I like the rails of the sv06. Anyone have some good insight?

Sv06 is giving me some beautiful prints but also clogging now and then, so I still prefer sv01 pro for reliability

It's just the crazy nature of the sierpinski pyramid! If you pause on the bottom view you'll see it's all one continuous line 🤯

Thanks for the review, but I can't get past the fact it's listed as $156 in the video and is now $330. Yes supply chain and all that, but more than double? Seems like price gouging.

That price in the video is the added value of the upgrades over the SV01 (it's only on that one image on their website showing the upgrades)... sorry if it's not clear in the context of the video! It's actually the lowest price it's ever been right now

I got the Ender 3 S1for about $50 more and it looks like the only real difference is that the S1 does not have a touchscreen and the Sovol does!. Not sure if spending the extra $50 is worth it? There are a lot more ready-to-print STL files out there that are fit to the Ender 3 as far as upgrades go. Not sure if that's worth $50 to you. Interesting. This thing is pretty much identical.

I don't understand. Why are you reccomending the Creality ender 3 video even though you made vidoes about "the sins of 3d printer companies", and talking about how you would not reccomend a bad product, when it is SUPER known that Creality has gotten absolutely terrible quality control due to their gain in popularity? Why are you contradicting yourself??

i have 3 ender 3s, no QC issues and they all work great. i also know like 5 other people at my school that have an ender 3 and they don't have issues either. soooo im not sure what you are talking about
