I've had the Craftsman C3 from Sears for years and now the Craftsman from Lowes for 2 years now. Been through it all from Transmission drops to Engine swaps and so forth. A truly underrated Impact.

I bought that Craftsman wrench a few month back, hadn't seen anyone compare it to any other tools. Like you said, perfect for lugs and a decent price, got mine on sale. Have been very pleased so far.

Diesel tech here, all my cordless tools are V20 and I love em, they keep up with the expensive red brand my coworkers have and realistically, if something is tight we all just use air impacts anyway. Great review as always!

Already have a full lineup of M18 impacts for work. Needed one for school/home and saw a Craftsman with a drill, drill bits, regular bits, 2 batteries, and a charger on craigslist for $100. Picked it up today, and am pleased to see it performed so well. Great review!

i have the ryobi p261 for about 3 years now and i couldn't be happier with it. it hasn't failed to spin off a fastner yet. i do live in fl so our cars aren't rustbuckets so there is that, but its been invaluable on several car repairs i've done with it. even bought my dad one. i did just get a hart 3/8 inch. i found it on the clearance isle at the wm for $55 and picked up 2 4.0 batts and charger combos for $27 each also at the same wm. i haven't used it yet.

I got all my craftsman (drill, hammer drill, impact driver, impact wrench, & multitool) v20 for cheaper than a single Milwaukee 1/2 impact. Absolutely love them.

I bought that little Craftsman a year ago. I work for AAA in roadside assistance and aide from the occasional 'so tight the threads are damaged' super rusted upstate NY Salt City lug nut which requires a breaker bar that little guy doesn't let me down. Super convenient for all the auto mechanic side work I do too

Picked this up for $99 and have absolutely loved it. Would love to see their other 1/2 and 3/8 too. Been looking at picking up those

I just got the Craftsman CMCF921B and really like it. As you said, realistically on the average car it's probably getting 95%+ of the bolts off unless super rusted. Great deal all around, thank you for the test output. 🛠

I picked up the Ridgid octane last week after I saw this test. Got it from home depot 167.00 shipped mine came with a 4ah battery?...have not used it yet,hope to sunday gotta help stepson install lower ball joint on his Forester.Tool seams stout enough ,I have IR air power on backup!....Thanks for all the great test guys.

Glad to see the Craftsman v20 stuff rated. Most of the quality review channels I have found tend to overlook them in favor of the higher end products. I have more then a few of the Craftsman v20 line of tools, and they have been pretty decent for the money for my use cases.

I have those Craftsman torque wrenches. They are very underrated, like all of their tools. The only ones that say the Stanley Craftsman tools are junk are the ones who have never used them

I have one of the earthquake 3/8 impacts, it works for most stuff on motorcycles. For the $117 I paid years ago it's done well and still going strong.

I had the Craftsman C3 19.2v 1/2 Impact and it was a great all around tool from lug nuts to suspension work, crank bolts etc it got the job done. Unfortunately it fell victim to theft, I'm getting another Craftsman, Thanks for the video.

I got a hart brushless 1/4 impact and it rips lug nuts off torqued at over 140 foot pounds . I’m happy with it

I use the corded baurer almost dailey to break lug nuts and old rusty suspension bolts. And for the 69$ I paid for it I'm happy I've made thousands with it. Disclaimer I do have to use a bar to loosen truck lugs most of the time.

It's interesting to look at the torque curves here but in practical terms the most useful tools make the quickest high torque. When making a purchase I would want that immediate capability even if it fell short with some you've rated higher.

I picked up that craftsman a couple months ago for $60 (display model being torn down) and man its nice to know the numbers back up what I was feeling. Definitely worth the price shes a small beast

I've got that Craftsman, and it'll run lug nuts on and off all day long. I change the battery about once a day. Also good for suspension because of it's small size.

I have both the 1/2" and 3/8" Craftsman impacts. I'm convinced the Craftsman 3/8 impact (CMCF910B) is literally one of their 1/4 impacts (CMCF810B) with a different anvil and gearing. I didn't take the impact mech apart, but the casing, switch, and motor look identical.

Before I watch. A few years ago more like 6 I bought the 299$ ridged drill and 1/4 impact with 2 batteries. And got the gen 4 1/2 impact free I have used it daily for 6 years with the same two batteries and it still runs doing fire sprinkler work. Many times dropped out of ceilings best free tool i ever got.

I just bought a bunch of craftsman tools a few months ago for my christmas splurge, the brushless is just the older dewalt generation, still claps!

Really glad I got that Milwaukee mid torque on sale at farm and fleet for $170. I already have multiple Milwaukee tools/batteries, so kinda sticking with them even though I do like some tools from other brands, but that mid torque is definitely nice and packs beaaans

Another channel tested the Mac 1/4" impact and found the 1/4" seriously underrated. Now that channel doesn't have a dyno, but used a torque wrench to torque bolts. I think SBD is trying to upsell Big Yellow, bigger drive size, and new 12v line,, possibly due profit margins. Craftsman is at the bottom of SBD good, better, best line up. Great performance from the Craftsman. Think the calculation should not be limited to 100%

Hi torque test! Love the channel and slowly making my way through your uploads. I currently have ridgid tools for the warranty on batteries as well as the tool… also the price. It would be very interesting to see a comparison of the tools that you have tested by brand, testing consistency, value, and down right busting nuts. It’s clear that you’ll see Milwaukee and Makita on top, but it would be interesting to see where craftsman, dewalt, ridgid and other brands stack up against one another.

I actually bought that craftsman impact for $99 bucks, included 4.0 battery and charger. I can’t complain and just keep it in the garage for lug nuts. Works great…

I’ve got the Ridgid with the 4ah battery and I got it for breaking the lugs off my F150. Does it without thinking about it. It also backed out huge bolts on my subframe and the suspension components without thinking about it. Love it for the price.

I just picked up that Craftsman’s little brother - the CMCF910. It’s the V20 Brushless 3/8” drive impact. It was on clearance for $50 as a bare tool, so I’m guessing a replacement is on the way. That said, you guys are welcome to throw it on the dyno. Just let me know where to send it. If you want a laugh, I can send you one of my Black & Decker “Matrix” 20v tools with the impact driver attachment. Just to see how far SBD’s tools have come in the past 5 years.

I'm a Craftsman person . My shop mate think I'm jut with this brand in a shop and yet i do my job and they lol that there a home name brand along with snap on and Mac tools and I'm there lead tech . When I got this for in January special they lol at me but kept up with there over price tools with the same warranty.. 1/2 3/4 impact gun and love it but it just a name i look for the guts for there Glory.. Thanks again for doing this teaching my son about the game on box vs real life claim.

All V20 Craftsman brushless are stepped down DeWalt clones. I would agree when you say they down play to protect the yellow. As for their other offerings, I’ve been completely satisfied with their impact and hammer drill clones of the brushless 887 and 796 from DeWalt.

The size of the Bauer looks like it shares internals with the corded one you reviewed a few weeks ago. Instead of 120v it's just going on 20v.

I decided to get a deeply-discounted Hart wrench. You're right, it does smell like burning trash when running. It also runs for only 1 second almost every time I pull the trigger, then shuts off. (Like 4-out-of-5 times.) Tried multiple fully-charged batteries. I'm taking it back as it seems their QC is terrible at any price.

I have a good amount of the new Craftsman line their brushes stuff that I have works amazing I have the 1/2 and 3/8 impact wrench I love those things

I've been running v20 craftsman tools in a increasingly professional setting for about two and a half years now. When time comes to replace them I'll go with Milwaukee of Makita, but otherwise I have had absolutely no real problems beating on this generations craftsman's. the only tool I've ever not been super happy with was my cordless angle grinder which kills the smaller batteries quickly with sustained use. But the bottom line is they DO work and they work serviceably and if you know how to use your tools you wont have a quality of work gap with them, maybe ease of use and a minor speed advantage; bu they will do quality work.

I'm not a tool guy, I needed a few power tools for my first home, almost got a DeWalt drill/impact combo at HD for $140 because I know the brand from previous jobs. Stumbled on a Hart set at Walmart with an impact, drill, flashlight, reciprocating saw, hand vac, charger and (2x) 1.5ah batteries for $120. Paid an extra $50 for an angle grinder with a 4ah battery. I just moved in a few days ago, only used the drill and impact so far but I think I got my money's worth from those two alone. I will say that I naively thought I was getting the brushless set because the tools were in a brushless display but I'm not at all upset for what I got at the price point.

I'd like to see you start testing 3/8" cordless impacts. I own the M12 compact 3/8" and have been unimpressed.

I bought a Work pro for 79 bucks and I’ve been impressed with it. I’ve removed axle nuts, crank nuts and lug nuts with no issues. Came with battery and charger

I have all the v20 mid torque and the cmcf921 has done me well so far with 1/2 ton trucks and it’s baby brother cmcf911 3/8 drive. On a budget must get.

I'm new to tools but I was advised that it would make my life a lot easier because I was going to start working on suspension components on my vehicle. parts like the coils, struts, control arms, upper and lower, things like that. I'm trying to learn how much tool I really need for these. They're on just cars and mid sized suv's. Not anything on a large truck. not yet anyway. Looking up things on 3/8's or 1/2's. Mid torque, high torque. Not entirely sure. Hopefully I can learn what I need to best fit my needs. hopefully without breaking the bank. Been watching all your videos for the past few days.

I've been watching a lot of power tool videos lately, and I've seen the craftsman be a great bang for the buck. It's replaced porter cable as the 2nd BnD brand, just behind Dewalt- and not by a whole lot. Probably the best tools on a budget right now. Used to be Ryobi, not anymore.

Yeah, freshly charged batteries get a boost from surface voltage. When racing electric cars (back in the days before li-po) we’d bring a charge boost pack to the starting line for that reason, taking it off at the last second we were allowed. Good video and test. 5 people didn’t like the lab results, lol.

Great video review. I was torn between the Ryobi P262 and the Rigid R86011b. Right now, HD has the Ryobi P262K1 kit (with charger and one 4 ah battery for $189, and the Ridgid for $179 - for two tools (where the 2nd 'tool' choice can be the battery kit - AC87024SB, which includes the charger and two batteries( one 4 ah, and one 2 ah). The ryobi shows a slight advantage in power, with actual torque, per your test of 442 ft/lbs. But, the Ridgid is close with actual torque of 394 ft/lbs. (Since the Craftsman tested at 343 ft/lbs, and was enough to remove lug nuts from an F150, that means either the Ryobi or Ridgid would meet my primary needs). If not for the fact that the Ridgid comes with a lifetime service agreement, which include free replacement batteries, I would take the Ryobi, at about the same price and an extra 50 ft.lbs of torque, with their 3 year warranty. Which one would anyone here get given this choice?

I just wanted to share something I recently saw. I know some people prefer a detent pin style over the friction ring style, but I saw a video of a Dewalt Dcf899 where the anvil broke right at the detent.

Hey I love craftsmen been using them for years and never had a fail from one. For the most part craftsmen is the smartest buy on most tools but there only grinder worth a dime is the rp line of grinder

I love my Ridgid Octane mid torque..use it alot in an automotive application...that and my Ridgid 3/8" subcompact do everything I've needed.. 11:10.. you get more power with the 9 amp hour octane battery then you would with the 3 amp hour octane battery that Craftsman is probably the best value there.. getting the tool and a free 4ahr battery you can't beat it not sure why anyone would get theHart, the Ryobi, or the Bauer when you can get that Craftsman with the 4 amp hour battery

I got the craftsman and forgot to change to n2,, so I used on n1 speed and I was like this is not strong at all,…then saw the option for n2 speed,..change to n2 and man! Took off all the screws I need it for 09 Buick front suspension,…so happy with this new brushless tool from craftsman,…

That impact will equal the Ridgid if Craftsman starts making batteries with 21700 cells. Some of the their brushless V20 tools seem pretty decent, but that impact wrench is a great value. Thanks for this and your other vids--keep 'em cranking 🙄😄

I like my bouer impact I’ve used the crap out of mine it has got better to For some reason it has started to kick up high rpms now so don’t no if something has happen to the brushing but it will get with it

I got the Craftsman one for free basically just because I wanted a drill driver and the package I bought had the drill, 2 batteries, charger and the impact included. Have never even bothered to try the impact as I have a corded Kobalt I use for most stuff I use an impact gun for and it has yet to let me down.

I am so happy to see the Craftsman perform as good as it did. Not so junk as everybody says or puts Craftsman down. For my pocket book Craftsman performs great for me.

Can you take a mid range impact wrench with the “most powerful battery” (8ah or 10ah battery) and compare that to a top of the line impact wrench with the smallest battery? (1.3ah or 1.5ah) I have the Dewalt mid range impact and used 2ah battery and felt it was underperforming. I picked up a 5ah battery and felt a night and day difference.

Rid God batteries have lifetime warranty which they do honor. Works perfect for all applications on my f250

On the topic of the craftsman other tools, I bought their 20v circular saw when they first introduced their line to check them out. I had to get a warranty replacement after only 2 hrs of use because the motor emitted magic smoke. The warranty replacement is running strong, but the plate is a little on the flimsy side. Maybe impacts are harder for them to screw up. But I am curious how it's longevity would be.

When performing a tire rotation. I still prefer using my air impact. I like my Hercules 3/8" cordless impact for swapping mower blades and removing nuts and bolts on power equipment. I wish Hercules 1/4" impact driver was brushless. Don't understand that one at all.

Can there be a test to see each of these wrenches taking off an putting on a full set of tires? Please?

This is a good series and/or side trek you have going on. With Rigid being more of a mid-ish level brand, maybe go into a few more of those next. Off the top of my head: New Skil, Kobalt, Metabo HPT and the like. You could also do a series on the amazon brands. When everything comes together financially of course. These comment sections tend to grow rife with "Dance for me monkey!" demands.

All wonderful. There is one test I really want to know. I watched several videos of impact drivers you test. What I want to know, can the high torque driver do the same amount of bolts and nuts as the lower impact one. Example: a 360 torque wrench does 25 bolts and nuts, can a 260 torque do 50 bolts with the same capacity battery. It is no use I have a high torque driver that does 5 bolts and lower torque that does 50 bolts. It would mean buying 20 batteries to do a job in stead of 2 batteries on the lower torque if you get my drift. I want to know how long the battery lasts.
