This is how to easily make BEST BUTTER Homemade Butter easy in 10 mins!
Growing up I always heard Best Butter and didn’t realise until later years that some of the butter we have now are not the best - they are kinds of butter mixed with oils keeping them spreadable! The Best Butter is homemade and it is easy to make - you can make it in less than 10 mins. If you are lucky enough to get hold of cream and have a way of agitating it to split the buttermilk from the butter it’s simple. I always look for a cream that is reduced and up to the sell-by date - this makes great homemade butter at a fraction of the price of store-bought with an unbelievable taste!

Here in America, we have what's called heavy cream instead of double cream (at least I haven't seen double cream here), and I make it the same way you do.. and you're absolutely right that homemade butter is better than premade. I make a few pounds of it and shape it into sticks (kind of) and wrap it in parchment paper then place in a freezer bag, wrap that in foil, put in freezer and I can have butter on hand when needed. Frozen butter also good for things like putting a stick inside a turkey or a dish you bake for a large family, etc. I use the whey (liquid) as I would milk and put it in homemade biscuits, pie dough, pastry dough or drink plain with a splash of vanilla added to it. I don't add salt, but I would mix that in after washing your butter and use very little, adding in more as your taste wants. Easier to add more because you can't take it out.

Oh Rik ( chef ) , this video brings back fond memories of my childhood. I grew up in a small country town called Dunbarton, in the state of New Hampshire on the East coast of the US. We got raw milk from the neighbors down the road and made butter all the time with one of those old hand cranked butter churns. I seriously chucked when you said it was a lot of work. Indeed it was, but so satisfying when you finally got that cream to break. Something that very few young people will ever get to experience and appreciate today. To them, butter is something that you get at the store, not something you make. After churning, a quick rinse and then into a wooden mold to form a block. That butter on homemade bread right out of the oven while still piping hot was just like heaven. We made bread every two weeks or so, and there was always the fight with my father to see who would get the heel off the first loaf to have with that homemade butter. I took a picture of that old churn which still sits in my kitchen, but I don't think I can attach it here to send to you. I will gladly find a way if you ever wish to show folks what the old hand churn looks like. Hope you have a great new year. -- den ( dennis )

Spot on, my wife hit upon some final reductions on double cream, reduced from £1.35 to just 14p for 300ml. She phoned me to say "how many do you want?" I told her to fill the trolley. She bought 30 pots.

Brilliant mate, the price of butter has shot up in Thailand so I will be giving this a go. PS I found the pastry beads on Lazada, it took some time but I got there, thank you. Can this be done with whipping cream?
