I got a Winflo 6 for $30 at the outlets a few days ago I had the Winflo 5 for a few years I couldn't find them in my shed...I have 15 basketball sneakers 3 running a few converse and a bunch of Crocs and beach sneakers and water stuff

Great video, and agree with the message. I was so Nike focused when I was looking for “beginner” shoes earlier this year, but got the Puma VNitro 2 on a deal and not looked back since. Also just picked up the Adios 6 for £55 - will see if I’m good enough for them soon.

Interesting video Chris. I’m a bit late to the party but hey! I found a pair of Run Swift 2’s on discount for £22 and I’m currently experimenting with budget running shoes. Might be worth a punt for that price……

Thank you for the review. I think as I've mentioned before Nike crank out multiple shoes and call them runners. You see lots of people going about their business in all black shoes, particularly at cheap and cheerful gyms like the one I use. I use Nike as walking/general shoes so pick up React Milers in Nike outlet stores for around £40 and my daughter likes to run in Pegasus 37 which I get on average for £45, For my runners Start Fitness cannot be beaten, Puma Deviate for less than £70 ! Fordy well done for not mentioning the 'S' word (Saucony) in this review, but as much as I'd like to give you credit it must be because they don't do cheap shoes😀

Okay but here’s a simple thing to consider, instead of a cheap new shoe - get a last year or even last-last year’s Pegasus or something. The 39’s are amazing (my current shoe). I now wait for the 41s to see if I 100% wanna invest in those or just get a discounted 40’s

Totally. It is generally smart to buy outlet shoes from 1-3 years past that had great reviews at release. You can get them for very good discount prices many times.

Bought a pair of Asics and a pair of Nike a few years ago (not sure which model anymore). Asics were more expensive. The mesh is starting to unravel on the Asics but the Nikes are going strong and have lasted me many 10k's. Maybe this is just a matter of price and you can't expect good running shoes from Nike for less than a 100, but I don't want to wear any other brand after my experience.

I miss the days where the Nike downshifter 6 was the only shoe I had, and I was totally happy with it. Absolutely ran them into the ground (and still have the last chewed up pair 🤡). My running shoe hoarding started when I couldn't find the 6 anymore, and the 10 wasn't something I could run in.

My first pair of running shoes was the Downshifter 7. Ran 300+ miles in them. As a beginner shoe, it’s pretty good.

A discounted Pegasus is probably the best cheap Nike Running Shoe. The 39 can already had for pretty cheap.

So just a heads up, sign up for Nike’s emails or whatever to become a Nike Member for free. Recently, they’ve had random sales where you can take an extra 20% off sale items, and I was able to pick up a pair of Pegasus 39’s for $64 USD, so about 55 pounds, give or take. There is literally no reason to buy any of these shoes if you search around. At minimum, the Winflo 9 will get you through (Cushlon foam and a full length air zoom unit), but if you can get a Pegasus 39 for under 75 quid, you’d be mad to pick up anything else.

Been running in a Nike Revolution 6 for 8 months and did a half marathon with them. Perfectly fine, comfortable, soft enough, no issues whatsoever. You say its hard but I disagree. The uppers, I like them. I totally disagree with your opinion on this shoe.

Totally agree with you. There are people called "shoes reviewer" but in fact, they only look at the brand, the price tag and then shout ton of bashing bla bla... Shopping for new shoes is always great, but at the end, only the runner can deliver result! The shoes is about 2-3% percentage, as Nike also confirm themself.

I know money can be a big issue for alot of people at the moment, but why even entertain these type of shoes when the Puma Velocity Nitro 2 or the Reebok floatride 4 energy are available 🤔 great video

Don't fool yourself by looking to the price tag. In running, you, the runner is the most important factor that effects to your result. Don't insult these shoes because they are cheap, still delivers result anyways. I got my Downshifter 10 about 3 years ago, run a dozen of 10km races, still feeling great and got better results than many Hokas

I put about 750 miles on my revolution 4s and i just got some swift 3s. The revolution 6 are not worth it lol

These 4 shoes would put you off running for life in my humble opinion... As you mentioned in the video..... Look elsewhere and you will get far better options for the same price. The Puma Velocity Nitro is an awesome shoe for all sorts of paces. The Puma Grip outsole is fantastic even on sharp turns in the wet at 6:50 per mile (which I was doing yesterday for mile repeats 😜). You'd be hard pushed to beat the Velocity Nitro at this sort of price range I think.

I would go for shoes in sales, we can find so many good daily trainers for around 70-80 euros, that there is no reason to get those cheap Nike options
