ty stan!!!!! if i put my 6000 monthly rent on the bilt card, does that count toward the bilt status tiers? or does it only mean non rent spend counts in that regard.

You're welcome Mike! So rent does count for status, but only the points you earn, not the money that you spend. So if you have $6,000 of monthly rent, the 6,000 points would count towards Bilt status so you would be able to get to 50,000 points within a year, or Bilt Silver status just with rent alone (after 9 months).

Got the Bountiful because of 40K bonus to switch from Boundless. It's worth it for me as I easily spend 15K with this card. As Titanium I get 1000 points a stay, with Bountiful I get another 1000 points a stay - so at a Sheraton at $125 (AAA or Senior) I get 2000 points plus 2187 points (1.75 Titanium ) + about 700 points on CC = 4887 points for a $125 stay. So for the additional $155 so far this year I got a 50k instead of 35K room and an additional 20K in bountiful 1000 point stays so far this year. $155 = 35k in value (20K plus 15K up on cert) Not great, but not terrible, maybe drop back down to Boundless and throw the 15K on Hilton since I'm only Silver with them right now.

Very cool Paul! I never really looked into the Bountiful card, just because the Boundless / Ritz was just a better fit for me. I think dropping down to the Boundless is great for that automatic 35k FNA, as opposed to the $15k FNC on the Bountiful. If anything, the Hilton Surpass $15k FNC is so much better than the one on the Bountiful which is a 50k cert, and with the Surpass you'll get Hilton Gold, which is probably the status I've gotten the most benefit from so far this year (even as a Titanium elite). Now's a great time to pick up a Hilton card due to their amazing welcome offers right now!

Do you get to keep your bilt status permanently? I don’t rent, but it might be good for tax purpose?

Unfortunately, no. It only lasts throughout the rest of this year and up until the end of the following year. So it's best to get status earlier in the year when you first get it (or upgrade status) if you can!

Does AU count from acct open or from date AU card issued? All my wife AU cards show up as issued dates, not acct open dates.

It depends on the issuer. All Amex AU cards show up as issued dates, but banks like Bank of America show AU cards from open dates.

Depends on your use case! Getting a Hilton FNC for $15k spend you’re already doing could definitely be worth it!

@@TheCreditFroghe’s not wrong it’s only a 4% return on your 120,000 room if you buy the points at 0.50. But for people that spend money at Hilton anyway then it’s well worth it - otherwise the return isn’t as high as people think

@@TheCreditFrog I looked into Choice - their points are hard to use from I read. I'm looking at Wyndham business card for my fourth hotel brand card. That's a good chain when you are traveling in the middle of nowhere, whether it's Jerkwater, USA or Iquitos, Peru.
