This is my second SK Forester build. I have the Primitive Racing CVT Skid Plate on my 2019, but I picked the Crawford Performance CVT Skid Plate for my 2024 .

Good question! This one doesn’t have the vents stamped into it. Those vents aren’t open enough to actually flow significant air, they make the bottom rough, but you want a skid plate to be smooth to slide. And the vents weaken the overall skid plate. The Crawford is a better design.

Do you think it matters that it doesn't have a hole or opening to access fluids? I'm debating between the ADF transmission skid plate (no access) or the Rallitek plate. The Rallitek plate looks like there's a hole to access fluids... which makes me lean that way. I don't work on my FW and I still take it to the dealer. I also bought the extended warranty (probably shouldn't have) and don't want to shoot myself in the foot by getting plates that don't allow work to be done by a dealer if needed.

Avoid skidplates with access holes, it's just a weak point. It SUPER easy to remove the 10 bolts and get the skidplate completely out of the way. Also, I recommend avoiding skids with "vents"

The install requires removal of structural plates. Does this void any Subaru warranties? Doe it compromise chassis stiffness?

I don’t think there is an issue with any warranties. I can’t think of anything that could fail and get blamed on a simple skidplate. I think overall chassis stiffness is improved because all of those points are now connected with a single plate instead of two small and very thin plates.
