I still have the very first one I made and use it for every fishing session, this is testament as to how good it really is and best of all you can make several for just a few £'s/$'s.
This soft subtle leather finger stall is the perfect casting aid for protecting your finger from severe cuts often caused from braid fishing line. Finger stalls aren't often used when using monofilament (mono) fishing line unless it is lite weight line which in turn will be very thin and could also cause a bad cut in your finger.
Sea fishing, beach fishing, shore fishing (whichever term you use) sometimes requires the angler to power cast or distance cast, it is essential to wear a finger stall for distance casting and power casting just like you would wear any form of PPE as a protection for most other things. Some people have suffered terrible cuts to their fingers for not using preventative protection and in some cases the cut has gone to the bone and required several stitches.
