Best Front Splitter For 2022+ WRX (Flow Designs)

In today's video I am installing a front splitter on my 2022 WRX from Flow Designs Australia. These guys make really great stuff and after totaling my old VA chassis, they reached out and offered to send me a full kit for my new car! I am beyond thankful to receive the very first production kit made for the VB Chassis. These come with a 10 Year Warranty and are virtually indestructible.

Something I forgot to mention and to take note of: the prices you see on their website are in $AUD, these prices will appear higher until checkout where it's converted to $USD.

Please read: I recently bought a 23 wrx and couldn’t be more excited to finally have a cool car and want to do so much with it in terms of exterior mods. Prior to watching your video I was really nervous about how to go about installing these exterior parts. After watching the way you manhandled that bumper in 2 minutes it has me feeling super confident in myself and my abilities to do my own work for the bumper. I can’t wait to put a grill and lip kit MYSELF, thank you for showing me I don’t have to pay some random dude at a body shop.

Thats awesome man! I had them on my VA also. I think it looked really sharp on that car because it went with the lines of the bumper. I got compliments all the time and it's crazy because no one seems to know who flow designs is.

I gotta say their rear diffuser for this car is so much better than Aeroflows. It molds so well with the back bumper. Thanks for giving us visibility with this company. Definitely gonna order the full lip package from them instead of Aeroflow

Awesome vid and product. I test drive a 22 gt this past weekend and I can’t lie, I was impressed. I had an 18 limited manual and had low expectations with all the hate the new gens have gotten. The ride was great with the adaptive suspension and the tranny and it’s fake shift points was snappy as hell. Felt similar to the DSG in my mk7 golf r. not worth the 46+4k markup however.

Damn I can't believe people are still trying to mark these up. They are readily available at every dealership I've been to. But I agree the $46k price tag on the GT is a little absurd. You could get into a much nicer car at that price range.

Hey man. Just found your channel and love the content. I have a 22 vb I use it as a daily driver 30k miles no issues. Looking to mod as soon as warranty expires.

Hey, thank you! That's awesome I hope you're enjoying it. I will say there is a ton of stuff you can do without hurting your warranty. You could do any cosmetic modifications, lip kits, wheels, tint, suspension, spoiler, etc. You could also do a catback or axleback exhaust system, or one of the intakes that's safe on the stock tune. There's tons of options out there for ya. Happy modding my friend!

Tried to, but my floors were so bad before. Even after prepping very throughly my tires pulled some of it up and if I drop a wrench or something from waist level it will take a giant chunk out of the floor. So now I might just get snap together tiles.

Sure do! Sides are already on just need to finish the video for those, also have the rear Spats, rear diffuser and canards that still need installed!

Just curious how well do you think the aero kit will hold up in the PA winter? I'm in the snow belt too and just afraid it will be very brittle and break easily in the winter.

Not at all! I ran this kit on my VA through the PA winter and when I crashed the car it got ripped apart and the only part of the full splitter kit that got damaged was the front (it also ripped my bumper in half) but I bottomed out all the time and never damaged the splitter!

As far as I know there isn't. But it took less than a week to get mine after it shipped.

I know Subispeed had flow designs stuff for the 15 to 20 wrx they might have the new stuff too.

@@aaronr9551 No one actually kept it in stock though. You could buy it through dealers like IIR and Subispeed but it would take the same time as a direct sale through Flow Designs.

How thicccc are these? Similar to Aeroflow? Hopefully it’s not as thick as the lips out there since it would rip off on all the speed bumps here in Hawaii. Love your videos

I think they're somewhere in the middle. They aren't as thin as an aluminum or carbon diffuser, they're slightly thicker but thay also makes them super durable. They aren't anywhere near as thick as a front lip though. I had this kit on my old wrx that was pretty low and bottomed out and hit a few curbs with it and never damaged it at all!

I didn't. I'm not happy with it because my garage floor was in such bad shape its not sticking very well even doing all the correct prep. I think I'll end up trying to do some garage tile flooring instead

@@StreetInspired1 man. That’s too bad. Money that could have been spent somewhere else, doing the work again, etc. Hopefully you find a good option. It’s so much nicer working on a clean floor.

I removed it for now. It just seemed too out of place for me after the initial excitement wore off. I kept it so I can reinstall it down the road if I decide to. I think if I get more done to the car it won't look so out of place.
