When I make lángos at home for my family, we rub the fresh garlic on it and just sour cream, salt, no cheese and definitely no pizza stuff. Great video. Enjoy my beautiful hometown.

The lángos today is nothing like it was in my childhood, it was so much better. It’s commercialised and popularised nowadays. They made it into something like a pizza; not bad, but not lángos. In my youth lángos was eaten with only garlic oil and a bit of salt and the dough was so much better. I can still taste the lángos my grandma and my aunty Mariska made and even the lángos at the beach of Alsóőrs at lake Balaton was so much better than the muck they sell nowadays. I don’t even buy it anymore, I eat it only when I’ve made it myself, the way how grandma taught me

Langos is similar to Indian fry bread here in New Mexico. They fry the bread and put powdered sugar on it for sweet, and make Indian tacos for savory. Indian tacos have seasoned meat (beef, braised pork, or shredded chicken, plus beans, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and red or green chile. It’s delicious!

According to my father, who tried hundreds of different lángos places all over hungary the best place to eat is in a small town called Kondoros

Nice city, worth much more than a tourist filming selfies while eating, sorry. By the way, the food scene here is probably even more intersting if you have some time digging in the traditonal food, the food that locals used to eat, and still are eating a little bit away from the touristy areas. Still, hope you like your stay and , of course- welcome!
