My only issue with this is that ny is one of those states that are under CARB so we're kind of being forced to drive a 4xe as we would have to order the ICE engines or go to a state not under CARB. My main issue is most people in nyc live in apartments so a guy like me does not have access to being able go plug-in the vehicle so i wont be able to take advantage as others who own their home.

Straight 6 YES I remember my 79 AMC Sprit it was bullet proof. What I don't like is 4 less gallons of gas tank over a regular wrangler. So you loose 80 miles range + 20 electric is still a loss of 60. If the electric range was 60-100 miles is a big winner. 20-25 is not enough

Looking around the industry, 25-30 miles remains the standard for plug-in range as it just comes down to packaging. A few companies have eeked out a bit more but that's through improvements in battery mgmt, motor effeciency etc. For most people, it's enough for daily. Looking forward to the future where range increases and costs come down!

I have a 2023 Rubicon 4xe. I have 1280 miles and 1131 of those miles are electric. It serves all the needs I have and I can still enjoy a day on the trail. I don’t overland or hard core four wheeling just the occasional dirt roads and bad weather. Now in the warmer weather I’m getting 25-26 miles on electric.

You’re heading towards FORM. Highly recommend driving just with gas engine once per week minimum (far enough to allow the engine to get to proper operating temperature).

I replaced my '18 4Runner ORP for a '23 Rubi 4xe and I absolutely love it. My daily commute is almost always in the 24 mile range. I only had to buy 4 gallons of gas when FORM activated this winter which was 3 months after I got it and didnt use any fuel. Between not buying gas and now being eligible for the EV rate plan with my power company I am saving about 200+/month over the 4R. If I get a little worse mileage on long trips it doesnt matter as overall expenses are lower. My Rivian reservation should be coming up next year but with the way things are going I will probably keep the Wrangler instead.

Journalists and media really poo pood the plug-in hybrids for a number of years, but when executed well they just make so much sense. It's wild that JEEP was the one who found real success there.

How long does it take to charge up if you just use a regular power outlet instead of the big dryer plug kind?

HYBRID, you only focused on full electric and full gas. Hybrid mode gets, which uses both and the only way to get all the torque and HP offered, well over 40 miles per gallon.

Thanks for the feedback. We don't focus on hybrid mode, add it's not really the best use case for this type of vehicle and results for hybrid use would vary GREATLY depending on daily travel patterns. We tend to focus on what we've been able to accomplish, well over 1,000 miles to a tank - but primarily by using all electric whenever it made sense.
