Your videos are so helpful! You sound a lot like Donna from the 70's show! A school psychologist at the school I work at says she was a grad assistant and she had her tuition paid. Even though they are underpaid, the tuition reimbursement is worth it in my opinion.

Thank you! Lol I’ve never heard that before😂😂 yes being a GA honestly saves so much money in the end since it’ll pay half or all your tuition, definitely worth it!

I'm currently an RBT and I was thinking of becoming a BCBA but school psychology sounds so interesting!

That's exciting! I know, during my training as a school psychologist, we were trained to do FBAs with students, so that is a bit of an overlap!

Do you work in a school setting I’m currently a senior majoring in psychology (undergrad) and I am looking for a job to work while getting my masters in school psych I currently work at an OBGYN clinic but would like to quit in a year to gain more field experience

Love your videos! What advice would you suggest in regards scheduling to taking the praxis for school psychology, when did you take it?

Thank you! I took the praxis the summer before I started internship, so right before I began my third year. I definitely recommend taking it over the summer!

@@kaylamcvay2615 I purchased the practice exam on the ets.org website which was definitely helpful. Besides that, I reviewed slides from my classes and re-read highlights in my books!

Hi, I'm an undergrad interested in pursuing school psych in the future. You did mention that you were hired because you were already trained in some assessments after your first year of grad school, but do you know if it is possible to work at a neuropsych office/clinic as an undergraduate or directly after undergrad? Thank you and I really appreciate this content!

You could potentially get hired during or right after undergrad as a secretary, but if you are not trained in any assessments, I’m not sure. I would check (if they post a job) what requirements they are looking for!

I didn't have much experience before getting hired as a behavior technician. I had to go through a few hours of training once I was hired!

How do you get the MA while studying for school psychology?

So that was included in my 3-year program, they told me before I was accepted that halfway during the program, we would receive the MA in counseling after taking the necessary courses and passing an exam for it.
