It's kinda meta too in this case. Train to Busan is South Korea's 1st zombie film. That's why there's one scene where people searched the term "zombie", because they are unexposed to it both in film and in real life.

I was kind of thinking that it’s like what Rob Stark says about something surprising, “Before they knew what was happening, it had already happened.” And then people would probably be in some type of shock. Great theory to think about though!

Got a chance to check out Kingdom as well. It absolutely kills. Hellbound is flawed but interesting too. I'm thinking of checking out Goblin/Guardian: The Great and Lonely God if I can find it streaming. I also checked out the Squid Game director's (still need to memorize his full name, sad to say) other big film "Silenced." Great, but I don't recommend if you're not willing to sit through some very ugly subject matter. I also got a chance to check out Joint Security Area and I Saw the Devil, both are awesome though I Saw the Devil is definitely one of the "deliberately leaves you feeling hollow" revenge flicks rather than the pure catharsis ones.

It certainly is - but I've been a huge fan of Korean film for about 15 years now - and I am worried they might follow the money and begin catering to Western audiences - I've watched virtually nothing from the USA for a long time now (Queens Gambit though.....) and I'd hate to see Korean actors poached by the USA for their SFX and Spandex films

@@astrafaan tbh I've had that same worry - that now they're getting international attention on a huge scale they'll start catering to western audiences. I've been into kdrama for about 4-5 years now and I got into them because they're NOT like Western shows. I hope they retain what's unique and interesting about kdrama because the quality and content are great.

Try her in "A little Princess" if you like her - she was great in that and she's been in several others. Get to see her before she gets poached by the USA :P

@@Michael-bn1oi I mean, military in every single zombie movie is useless anyway lmao. They only exist to either make situation intense (about to bomb the whole town, get the fk out) or there in the end of the movie for closing. We rarely even see gun being usefull in zombie movie

Hi, i just watched this movie yesterday bcs a lot of people said that it got lots of plot twists but, I don't get it? Most of it are predictable, can you point out which one are the plot twists?

@@bijjjjj ⚠️SPOILERS ⚠️ 1st the fact that the house seemed familiar to him was because that's were he killed a mother and daughter, he does then find out his brother is actually not injured and can actually walk to slowly know the true about him not being his actual brother . That room witch made us think for a moment that the movie is gonna turn into a horror one was actually the room were he killed and wich had people in to record his every move . Then he find out his mother and father are not his actual family but undercovers to then know he was hypnotized to think he was 20 years in the past. Then we get to know that the " brother " was the boy he had not killed that night and we get to know that the 1st scene seemed familiar because that was a memories they recreated. We also later get to know that his actual brother needed surgery wich was the reason he needed money to then find out the surgeon who made him do the crime for money was the son's father( so the husband and father of the girls killed ). In the end we find out that the little kids who grew up to act as his brother was a kids he had meet years ago when they were outside but their second meeting turn into horror. We found out the brother was not kidnapped but was taken by the police for doing that without consent and lastly we got to know that the main guy had also accidentally killed the guilty father who caused all this and made that little boy life miserable anyways I'm sure there's some more little things but I don't remember since I watched it long ago but these are the big plot twists and in my opinion there's quite a lot.... These are all plot twists wrapped in a big one.

I'm actually suprised you got all the plot since the beginning cuz personally I did not think it would end that way with so many things I did not think about. Did you actually not like the movie ? Most people like it so again it's suprising, I think it was one of the most well executed movie done, they made me think so many stuffs to then reveal it all in the last 30 min and made a fool out of me lol. I think you forgot all these big intelligent plot twist cuz of the way the movie was wrapped in a kinda disappointing way so you can't really help but focus only on that I dont know 🤷‍♀️ but I personally loved it cuz it started of kinda boring but then kept being crazy and as much as I think it a genius plot I also get why some people may not like it honestly.
