Good video explaining what and why you choose different steels. Personally I care way more about ht and blade geometry than I do about the steel, but steel comes in 3rd in the list. If I had to choose one steel for everything as my favorite, cruwear would be it. I have a edc fixed blade from Deep cuts cutlery in cruwear with a great ht at 65rc and for me it's just so good. Super thin, cuts amazing, though enough for my needs, good edge retention because of the ht, and plenty corrosion resistant for my uses. Also like that spyderco is using more cruwear too.
