Exactly the video I was looking for. I've jumped over to Necro to keep the game fresh. I doubt I'll rebuild my gear as I have set myself up for Barb/DH & Sader, but I couldn't quite work out which was the best version of summons. Thanks

Thank you for this. Ive been blind playing minion necro for a month now, finally made it to H3 a few days ago. Ive been on the right path according to your guide. Guess I'll swap out the dash skill for bone armor tho. Hopefully getting those lightning uni's dont take much longer lol.

Bro perhaps you have a curve graphic of armor penetration to know how higher is compared to inferno level you are?

I have leaned pretty heavily into lightning Necro. Lightning from cursed armor, void spark, lightning skeletons and mage, lightning bone armor and corpse lance damage boost. Your picture at the beginning is exactly what my Necro looks like also! I love the build for pve. Most of the time I don't have to bother with clicking an attack. I look like a running lightning storm.

What do you think about bone spirit/wandering wraith instead of mages ? I mean it makes maybe less damage against bosses but for farming trash i just hate that mages are stationary and as soon as you cast them you often are already out of their range. Also if you don't have already the lightning bone armor ? I actually no try the freezing one, but i had the feeling that the thorns were maybe better, but i guess you can't see that at the dummy because the dummy doesn't hit the minions.

Fantastic , as always. Do you know if pain clasp works with lightning damage? Many people on server say yes, but from the description, I doubt it. I'm wondering if you've done the experiment.

I'm pretty sure it does increase damage but I'm not sure if ligtning damage can be activator though.

yeh i don’t think so since pulse is not a Dot but pulse. voidspark or lightning pulse might spread Dot like torment or viper though. That could activate pain clasp. might need testing to confirm.

@@eastcow I think so too. I'm using an all lightning build right now (except I don't have lightning core equipped). I'd like to know what are the best gems to use for it. I hope that VK does a video about the best gems for the lightning build and to settle the matter regarding pain clasp.

Thats neat about the increase damage from the legendary gems. Does that mean it also increases the damage from Wired cursed items and from conduit buffs?

You mean chain lightning from curse and invocations? Tbh I didn't check it but I assume shock increases any lightning damage.

@@vk.videos It's like they're dabbling into the realm of different damage types. For the most part, they've avoided it up until now - at least compared to other Diablo titles where armor would just work against physical attacks and you'd have to gather resistance to types of magic attacks - lightning, fire, cold, and poison. I assume chain lightning and conduit would be considered lightning, but until they're tested, we can't know if the programmer just lazily coded them as physical attacks or not. I wonder if things like this and angmet's burn buff means we'll see more divergence into typing of attacks and resistance to them.

You need to play more, the equipment that get you lightning summons is drop in higher difficulties.
