YES !!! I totally agree. Seniors like Us don’t get much attention. But don’t give up. My Dad at 85 had a bad knee and other small aches & didn’t know how to help himself. preventing from walking so he sat a lot and gain so much weight and slept a lot. Well, he didn’t have enough muscles or Strength to carry his good, go up and down stairs- unfortunately his home had no elevator and didn’t want to move to a new place. Dr said his health was like a 60 year old person internally but his heart was weak to a point that he got a massive heart stroke while sleeping in sofa and ended up in coma. It was a lesson for me. The heart needs to be easily worked on for many seniors. I see it in the See it in this Community where there’s a Fitness Center where is usually empty because no one ever guides and you can hurt yourself.

Sit on exercise ball instead of a chair so your hip flexors don’t stiffen can do planks on it also to relieve lower back pain and many others 😎

Wow! Great exercise! I just did a set of 15. It's definitely harder than it looks, for me anyway. It's crazy how hard it was to lift the last few inches over the head. I feel it. I'm going to make this part of my exercise repertoire. Thanks for sharing!❤

This should be done no matter your age doing this while your young will help you move better and prevent this when your older my grandpa is 81 and STRONG and jogs everyday because he never stopped training

Yeah I’m always interested in new ways to be healthy. I did 35 years of nursing and that old saying of see an old nurse and you’ll see a bad back is true. Between all the lifting, moving of patients, pushing beds with patients in them, contributing factor to my spondylosis in my neck and back, osteoarthritis in both knees, SI joints and highest grade of bunions, I need another 4-5 surgeries. And yes I had 8 knee surgeries and 3 back surgeries I’ve very lax joints so I’m damned flexible but the joint damage from knee dislocations is now at the highest grade. I do have about 35 lbs to lose which will also help and I’ve finally got my head in the game and am on track with keto which also I know will improve my pain! Thanks for your excellent exercises!

I’m strengthening my lower back to avoid immobilizing back pain, of which I’ve had several times in the last couple years - I can see it will become a big problem if I don’t keep fixing it now. I’m 30 and also focusing on strengthening my core and would love a series of tips (lower back and core) please please please - thank you for this video :)

When you’re doing this exercise, tuck your pelvis in, don’t arch it: this way, it’ll target your lower abs and prevent lower back pain. The issue with the lower back is very often caused by the pelvic tilt (arched lower back), which is unhealthy. Hope that helps!

I’m glad I found your videos. I’ve been driving trucks for more than 20 years and not exercising. Anything I can do to strengthen my lower back and general health I’m trying to do now. I’m 10 years from retirement and need to undo the damage I’ve done.

All that driving does kill your lower back. My mistake was bad posture and now I can't comfortably sit straight. I have to sit leaning to my right resting on the center console.

@@janicedenisar3008 hand from a bar like ur doing a chin up n raise ur legs or knees which ever dnt matter or buy a power tower that has hanging leg raises to since doing these excersises zero back pain and no doxtor visits or hospitals in over 22 years been doing heavy lifting jobs no problems once i did these

Needed this as there is pain in my lower back. Stronger the core, younger is the person. Strong core helps to become healthier, also helps in walking (cardio) and overall in all the activities that you do.

Thanks for being straight and easy! I'm 77 year old and 😅badly need to stretch my spine as I have a scoliosis which is sticking my lumbar vertebrae and I can hardly walk for the pain.. the nerves are crying! I'm 24 but have pain in my lower back, especially after standing or sitting a lot. Most back workouts on yt focus on the upper parts and have very little exercises for the lower back. Yours is a great exercise.

Great stretch 👏, Im a young powerlifter with back pain and this helped a lot in feeling relieved and a stronger back on heavy squats, also added sum side to side twist when i felt the stretch for a muscle imbalance problem. Once again, Thank you 😊

@@craigthegymrat your neck if strong enough can lighten impacts. If someone punches you and you have a very strong neck your head won’t rattle like a bobblehead, but if you have a skinny ass neck your heads gonna rattle so hard you will get knocked out. Think about it. Can also help w posture, pain, and some other shit.

Fractured T-12 in an emergency lifting situation. Lost bladder and bowel control for several months. In bed 5-1/2 months for recovery, lost muscle mass, of course. Recovery is very slow, but continuing. Your exercises are brief, instructions are clear. Excellent! You help so much. Thank you for ALL of them.

@@setsura7 couldn’t really say, I haven’t been on a continuous cycle with it over the last 6 months, only when I have pain which is not chronic in my case….but it definitely does give immediate relief.

During moves like these, I'm trying to keep the abs, glutes, ineer thighs, and toes tight on order to work them stabilizers as well. Staying flexed is something I have drill often lately. But it feels awesome. Love the move!

Thanks for sharing. I'm definitely going to do this exercise! I'm 65 in a month, in pretty good shape overall. I've had 6 knee surgeries & partial knee replacements in both knees and an ankle reconstruction. Truthfully, have injured my shoulders, back, and neck also. I do swim laps regularly and do pool exercises as well as toning like some pilates exercises. I'm doing pretty well overall, but starting to develop rounded back, which I hate! I do actually enjoy working out, but struggle with consistency. I can swim for hours, but have difficulty walking very far. I struggle with having mid and lower back pain, and my posture isn't the best. Would love to have strong upright back and neck, not curved like mine is starting to do. Hope it's not too late for me...😊 Obviously my knees also.

Luckily now im good but want to strenghen the lower back so it doesnt happen again it was the most pain i ever felt in my life thx again

if you not currently cutting weight focusing on building your lats will reduce the appearance of love handles.

I'm 51, I'm not overweight at all, and I consider myself very healthy. However I haven't exercised in 19 years about. I'm focusing on my core and abs because it is SO WEAK. At the gym, I was doing core/ab exercises, using a suspended strap from a piece of equipment, where the palms of my hands are flat on the floor, and my feet are in the suspended strap loop, then I crunch my feet and legs in, to workout the core and abs. I was fatigued from my previous core exercises, and I noticed that when I went to do this exercise, my lower back was caving in belly first to the floor. It wasn't supporting my back so that I can keep it straight and do the exercises I wanted to do. I didn't want to risk injury, so I stopped and went to do some lower back exercises. That's when I realized how weak my entire core really is, front and back from not exercising so long. So now I realize that I need to strengthen my lower back as well.

I'm 60 have scoliosis in the lower spine plus degenerative spinal diseases I do work out everyday but love your targeted exercises

just found you and such a great simple exercise...so many want me to get on the floor which at the moment is a no go...I'm 74 year old woman with a 34 year old heart she smiles...this I can do in my home work space. As I have little opportunity to use stairs my legs find it so hard to step up each riser although I have a minitrampoline, kettle bell, mechanical stepper and minicycle. Been doing this for some months and as I do sit at my computers for parts of each day for my work would like to strengthen my lower back muscle so I can stand up without pain. Osteoarthritis at age 39, I used to kill it in the gym, than beat myself up more doing crazy calisthenics moves.

My brother, I must say I have much love for you. I play basketball with my kids last year. My L5 dis hit a nerve causing me to be out of work for two or half weeks. I just saw your video couple weeks ago I mean I’m fine now because I exercise but this one exercise really help my lower back I still can’t really play a full game of basketball but I can play like half court with the kids and shoot around I really appreciate it. Great episode please keep doing these. Fav fight was cummings vs jimenez, too bad kt was stopped early. I've never seen someone fight full on hands down like jimenez or use a low guard in the clinch, that was fun

For 25 years my back has been so bad I could barely do anything .. had a doc talk me into a second surgery and wow it’s made a difference… so for all those years my lower back muscle are shot .. even doing the stretching you said to do frist to get them fully extended.. been a few months but I can do that now … now I want to build the muscles so I can do more .. thank you
