One time I raced a guy I went to school with in the next lane over in my S10, he pulled me over and let me off with a warning. In fact, I have to go through a similar situation when it rains heavily on my street since the creek that crosses below it can flood the crossing area leading to a road closure since there's no cross streets (it's a very rural area). In short, exercise caution when seeing that kind of setup.

I was a school police officer back in 2015 when I noticed this: a car was the first car at an intersection when I pulled up next to her. She was so distracted that she didn’t see me pull up next to her. I watched her texting for about 10 sec. when the light turned green. After another 10 seconds, I tapped my horn, she looked at me and at the same dropped her phone onto the floor. I told her to proceed through the intersection and to pull into the first driveway and park. She told me that she wasn’t on her phone. I told her to look on the floor and she would find it there. She found it then signed the citation. Thank you for shopping in L.A. County.

When I was in elementary school, about half the students (not me included) were all picked up from this one stop. During mornings that were normally very dark. Several times a week, even though the school bus has it's lights flashing, a car would come barreling down at about 40-50 despite it being a residential area. The bus driver, despite being a sweet lady, would always rage at the reckless driver. One day, the guy came zooming past the stopped bus like normal, but then got pulled over by a police officer moments later. The bus driver pumped her fist in triumph, as the entire bus cheered. We never saw the driver again, likely the punishment he received ended the commute he took for a substantial period.

#18 - I'm familiar with this stretch of road. One of the lights is completely f-ed on the timing. So traffic coming from the mall/shopping center (usually there is none) has the green light. I once sat at the red light for more than 5 minutes, with no cross traffic, before it turned green. Ragers were out in force running the light and getting mad at the rest of us that refused to break the law (cops are all over this area)

A woman who was married to my father asked a cop why he didn't pick one of the other cars to stop that were going the same speed as her. He said he had to start somewhere. I learned young, if you're doing something stupid in your car or truck and someone is keeping up with you, you might as well pull over and stop if that is what you are going to do.

Best instant karma I ever saw part 1: was riding many years ago with hubby in a semi. We were going back north out of Bentonville Arkansas with a load from Wal-Mart warehouse. This was old US Rt. 71, before they put in I-49. Just a mile or two before the Missouri state line, we were going up a hill on this two-lane highway, double yellow line. Some dweeb in a passenger car decided to zoom past us in oncoming lane, then cut over just as he crested the hill. Cop just past the crest saw it all; the dweeb knew he was caught and just pulled over as we rolled on past. Part 2: Again, in a semi with hubby 30 years ago, this time in snowy weather in middle of nowhere Nebraska: it had stopped snowing on this highway stretch (another two-lane) but it was still slippery as heck and we were going maybe 40mph (65kph). Some character with a station wagon pulling a U-Haul trailer came up behind us and obviously wanted by. He'd pull out but there was just enough oncoming traffic to drive him back behind our vehicle. He got madder and madder (I guess he expected us to get out of his royal way) and finally he had his chance. He pulled out and when he got alongside our cab he opened his window and flipped us the bird. Unfortunately for him, since he had a hand off the wheel, he lost traction. His car and that U-Haul trailer spun right in front of us as we didn't even have time to react. A moment later his tires caught and he went sailing into the right hand ditch full of snow. A second later we blew past him. Me: Should we stop and help him?" Hubby: "Heck no; he'd claim we ran him off the road and the cops would believe him!" (for the horrified, no it was obvious the only thing injured was that idiot's pride).

Number 62 at 28:26 literally ran the red light that is directly between the County Courthouse and Police Department. There are constantly Sheriff's Deputies parked right where that one came from who are coming/going for court stuff. And to the left of the cammer is where all the city cops park. But downtown is NOTORIOUS for red light runners and wrong way drivers, so it's not surprising to see at all.
