I like it. You could do some for CA. Specifically LA, Bay area, and other 'interesting' urban areas. It's always fun to see places you know. Utah esp. around Salt Lake would be good too. I have never been passed going 95 on I-80 except west of Salt Lake. Salt flat fever? Crashes are the best. Brake check karma is my fav.

In Europe if they hit the #4 cam car it would be the cam car’s fault. Here too many people think they can control the speed. #5 it is not against the law for properly marked funeral procession lead vehicles to have the “right of way at intersections regardless of traffic control devices” as stated by Florida law 316.1974

I would agree with u except wheres the dead body? Funeral processions must be escorting a body to be considered a funeral procession. I did not see one in the vid so possible cammer is correct. Also funeral processions cannot enter a red light unless escorted by an actual officer. They enter at a green light n if it turns red the other cars still must yield until the entire funeral process has finished crossing.

I understand that if a funeral progression starts through a light they continue until they are all through regardless of the changing of the lights, however, are you saying the start of the progression can just run through red lights? I don’t think that’s right. Even ambulances and police cars stop at red lights before progressing through them.

#2 regardless of whether you agree with the way the cyclist rides, you had an obligation to yield to traffic in the bike lane while making that turn, and you didn't. Fortunately the cyclist anticipated your failure to yield and was able to take evasive action.

Also the bicyclist wasn't "jumping on and off lanes" they took the round about how fast bikes should. The markings on the road show they share the road in the round about and then the bike lane restarts. The recorder just doesn't like bikes and doesn't know how to properly look before turning.

Traffic turning across the bike lane is required to yield to traffic already in the bike lane before turning, just like traffic turning left across oncoming lanes has to yield to oncoming traffic. If the car and bike had been together in a general traffic lane you might have been right.

In #2 I didn't see the cyclist do anything wrong. They stayed in the bike lane as much as they could up until it ended and went into a round-a-bout. They then went immediately back into the bike lane and you failed to check your mirrors or yield.

@silverchupacabra73 That and I've noticed that a lot of dash cams distorts the view to get more of the area in. So, it looks like a farther distance on the cam but IRL it's actually closer. Just like side mirrors, objects are closer than they appear. I hate when people turn their signal on and whip over at the same exact time.

I don't know if it's legal, but it was always common courtesy to let a funeral procession travel freely, for obvious reasons. But people nowadays are way too selfish to think of anyone else. When I see one go past my house, and I've seen several, I always show respect by standing until they've past.

As a Floridian, I can attest to the crappy drivers. Most in my town are transplants, but a lot of Florida born drivers are just as bad. Can't wait to escape this place someday. Lol Edit to add I was nearly t-boned today at speed limit (50) when turning into a shop complex to pick something up. Truck loaded with tires in the bed got into the other turn lane facing me as I was turning into the shop complex. He kept going straight at speed limit. He was inches from my Mom's car's rear bumper. If I hadn't hit the gas, I'd probably be in the hospital. He then proceeded to follow me for a bit, angrily. So I headed to the police station and he left me alone. I wish I had a dashcam.

It depends on the state. For example, in my state, funerals have the right of way (you can’t interfere with them), but the lead vehicle still has to abide by state driving laws. He can’t cut off other drivers, swerve lanes, run red lights (I’ve seen them do this before 🙄), etc But other cars in the procession can ‘run’ the red if it was green when the leading vehicle crossed.

One of those laws in Florida is that a funeral escort lead can only enter an intersection lawfully by either law enforcement direction or traffic control devices (ie traffic lights). Then the rest of the procession has right of way regardless of traffic control devices. The cammer was petty and way overreacting. I also don't believe he knew any of the laws about this. So while he was kinda right about the first intersection (not being allowed to do "that"), I don't think he was referring to the law I mentioned. But I do think cammer should've just waited and let them go. Even if they were wrong at first, he did much more wrong the rest of the time. He isn't a cop, yet he tries to enforce the law while repeating to the escort "You aren't a cop!"

Not sure about Florida law on it but I find it hard to believe a funeral director is allow to blow through red lights while traffic is moving through the light. Allowing a progression to finish after a light changes to red? Sure but just driving up to a completely red light and going through it? Even emergency vehicles don’t do that, they stop and access, then proceed with caution.

You will never EVER get pulled over doing 5 above the limit in the passing lane, and 99.99% of the time won't get pulled over for doing 10 above the limit. Hell, I've never seen a cop pull over for 80 in a 65, but I personally stop at 10 above the limit. They WANT you using the left lane reasonably aggressively to encourage a better traffic flow. When you read "Slower traffic keep right" signs they aren't expecting that slower traffic to be below the speed limit - they expect it to be exactly at the speed limit, hence they know the people in the passing lane will be well above it. Anyone that camps the left lane because they think its enough to drive the speed limit is an ignorant POS.

There is a bike lane ends sign next to the stop sign at 0:42 (it's *_very_* visible on Google Maps from the opposite direction). There is a very clear bike lane entrance cutout at 0:46. Not only that, the curbs are fucking green to remind you to check for bicycles. Unbelievable someone would submit this video thinking they did anything besides almost run over someone on a bicycle. @@smokeyjazz5506 there are signs all over the place for slower traffic to keep right and usually the left lane is the passing lane in other countries, we have traffic because of drivers like yourself. you pass till you find a speed then get over until u speed up again.

I just stated a fact that drivers camping in the left lane need to be ticketed as IT IS against the law. Last time I acquired a speeding ticket was close to 40 years ago and the last accident was about the same (other driver cited for running a stop sign). Maybe in the future you take the time to actually comprehend the comment.

@@smokeyjazz5506 tbh i dont know what your fighting for here but imo its fine to sit in the left lane until someone is behind you trying to speed up and go past, guy in #4 is an ass imo for merging all the way over and sitting there. iits called the passing lane for a reason and he couldve easily stayed in any of the other lanes and not gotten in the chargers way

@@celsiusxd9755 I'm not fighting, someone suggested "we have traffic because of drivers like yourself". I only stated in an earlier post that people camping in the left lane should receive a few tickets as, in most states, it's against the law and is posted as such. My BIL is the perfect example as after he enters the interstate system, he will automatically go to the far left lane and then set his cruise control for the posted speed limit. At no time will he move to the right until his exit is near. If you ask why, he'll just state that he doesn't have to worry about slower drivers nor vehicles trying to merge from the on-ramp.

I don’t understand what you mean by properly marked. Just because he’s identifiable as a funeral escort certainly doesn’t give him the right to run into an intersection like he did. Funeral escorts still have to obey stop signs and, obviously, red lights. Both times he cut in front of cars who had greens, not to mention the right-of-way. And it is only once the lead funeral car passes that you have to respect and let the procession pass. The “escort” wanted to cut his whole procession ahead of traffic. I’m not defending cammer for being overly aggressive by continuing to drive his car when the guys standing in front of him, but he 100% had the right-of-way and escort was in the wrong.

#5. He may not have the authority to do what he did, but it was done. You had a choice, ignore the fact that he is not supposed to do this and show respect for the family and the dead or be a jerk about it and drive into the funeral procession.

Actually, in some states and municipalities, you can get a ticket for messing up a funeral precession. Even the vehicle itself said it was for funerals.

I don't know about Florida laws, but, from what I regularly see here, funeral/oversized load escorts just wait for the intersection to clear before blocking one side of it. This guy angrily jumps in the middle while cars are turning, so the whole intersection is blocked. It's stupid, dangerous, and makes the whole procession and everyone else around lose time for nothing.

#4 NAHHH That red Charger had all the reason to be mad at you. You're going 97 km an hour. Which is equal to 61 miles an hour... That specific highway in Florida has a speed limit of 75. You were going nearly 15 miles under the speed limit. In the left remote lane, which is meant for the fast traffic. You were in the Wrong lane going under the speed limit
