Jizn Vizn “Silencio” just mean “silent” in spanish. That’s actually an error because all the Springfield’s mafia is from Italy and in italian silent is spelled “Silenzio” with the “Z”. That was probably made because the word silenzio would have been hard to be pronunciated if you don’t know any italian

@@parappatheconstipatedmaggo209 You can see the entire problem with the Simpsons now in this video - he goes from very quick soundbites to that lengthy restaurant thing, which should have been a snappy few seconds in length, but instead went on and on. They'd never have kept that in the best years as the whole show was just joke after joke squashed in. Now they bloat the jokes so much to fill up the time.

Yeah the Simpsons really went downhill once the seasons got up past 11. Now it is just non-sense that passes time. Same thing happened to Family Guy. Both shows went on a political agenda, lost their edge, and got horrible writing.

It definitely felt dragged out. Earlier Simpsons probably woulda had him say "I ain't saying anything to you" after he gets told his car is towed, followed by the chase. Scene probably would've been about 1/3 the time and been funnier.

tfw you suddenly realise the problem with new Simpsons (and with Family Guy) is that they stretch every joke out. I was watching another clip just now - from season 8 - where there were two gags almost overlapping cause the writers had so many to fit into each episode.

Frank Gusenberg, the basis for Johnny, was not known as Tight Lips during his life. The name was only applied retroactively, purely because he denied being shot despite having been riddled with bullets.

The HD scenes are intriguing, you'd think with the lower quality writers they would just have him say 'I aint sayin nothing' over and over again, but they actually had him blurt stuff out as if he was a generic gangster, as if they had never seen the character before, while still on the side sometimes maintaining his gimmick

Crazy to watch the character go from a single fantastic gag to a wider series of less funny gags. Definitely feels like watching Simpsons devolve in real time.

I disagree, I think all his appearances were funny because they were used sparingly.
