@corwinorr Жыл бұрын
@@mcsnuvi A seed bell is a bell shaped bunch of seeds clumped together that you hang in your garden to attract birds, who eat from it. It's funny that, in a crisis where swarms of birds are attacking, you would go to a pay phone, and try to order a very large seed bell, as if they could deliver it in time to distract the birds from attacking. It is even funnier to imagine that, somehow, this garden and/or pet supply company makes a seed bell so huge that it would be more than necessary to distract all these birds. All of the words I just typed are condensed into two sentences in the clip, which is also why it is so funny, through few words they get you to do a lot of thinking.

The bird sanctuary one is my favourite and lives rent free in my head. I know you shouldn't break down comedy but I just can't stop thinking about this. The sanctuary is in a state of crisis, and Hans is actually doing a quite heroic thing by deciding to take charge of the situation and do something to help. "Get me the biggest bird seed you have" would should quite authoritative if said by a more action hero type. He needs a size that can feed an entire sanctuary of rampaging birds, and yet somehow, whatever size they offer is TOO BIG. How? What ridiculously huge size is it their offering. It could be it's outside Hans budget, but with the quickness that Hans responds there's no way the phone operator had the time to specify budget, only size. That's the only thing getting in the way of stopping this entire catastrophe. Yet it's just too much. It's fundamentally absurd and I think about these quick few seconds so much

In my headcanon that explains this, Hans Moleman was a badass who lived a hard life who did some pretty awesome things but the expense of his health. That's the reason why he has all those aliments, thus he can't perform the way he once did and Bad karma for some actions are catching up with him, thus his misfortunes. From what we saw from this and my observations, he must have been a complete beast when he was younger!

Hans is like the perfect example of why you need to specify your immortality conditions when you wish for it. The man never dies, never ages past what he is now, but at the same time the man _never_ dies and is stuck at his decrepit age.

I wish you included this clip but from Treehouse of Horror 4 Bart tells Otto that there’s a monster or ghoul(can’t remeber what he specifically said) on the side of the bus and Otto sees Hans Moleman and he tries to ram him to please Bart and he rams him off the road and slowly roles away and looks like he’s about to hit a tree but he safely stops before hitting the tree and then out of nowhere blows up. I don’t know why but its the timing and the random explosion that made me fine this scene with Hans Moleman as the best!
