What other 'Best Of' compilations do you want to see?

I would not try out if I couldn't do high kicks OR jump splits. What are they thinking...that's a critical point of the squad.

Jump splits are NO JOKE!! It's dangerous and can be scary... I did them on my dance team in school... I was so happy when I got the technique down

Why do the candidates not learn the kick line, the jump split and the entrance BEFORE they try out ?

I will never understand why girls go in to audition never having tried the jump splits or kick line. It's not a secret that it is 4equired. Non negotiable. Just weird ny one would go to audition before

I live in Dallas Tx, EVERY high school drill team in Texas does jump splits. The ones who are from here should know how to already 🤷🏾‍♀️. At my school, if you didn’t jump split, you were watching the performance from the sideline, and everyone in the stands knew you didn’t make the cut that week.

Bro I’ve been on my schools dance team since 7th grade and that’s when I had to learn jumpsplits. They r still scary to this day. No matter how many times u do them, they are still just as daunting😓

if you cant or wont do a jump split audition for a different team. the cowboys are famous for them so it aint a surprise for the candidates and they arent gonna change the choreo if someone cant do them.

I was a Prima Ballerina training 10 to 12 hours per day and there is no way that I could landed on my ‘hoo ha’! Heavens to Betsy, I swear that I would have ended up in a wheelchair. Although doing the kicks ‘en pointe’ dressed in a tutu would have been a great experience❤️These girls are both beautiful and strong.

I wonder what the DCC would have done back in the days of Texas Stadium in extremely cold weather? I know that's rare in Dallas but it's not unheard of. If it's below 30 or especially below 20 degrees they would get severe frostbite and hypothermia in their regular uniform. I don't know if they have a special cold weather uniform?

Now I was never on Drill Team but I did take dance classes in high school and I somehow got my splits and I did try a jump split and surprisingly I did it with no injuries.

Literally the part that would be easiest for me is the jump split. I can't imagine any cheerleader or gymnast who hasn't been doing them since they were a kid. I'm lucky because I'm more flexible than most gymnasts, but still, if you know you're doing to be auditioning for this, you practice!

I remember middle school cheerleading and I wasn’t the most flexible and we did an improve competition and I thought I did the splits but I pulled my hamstring and I remember jumping in the air too and I just realized “I think I did a jump split in middle school” because it really really hurt and it’s scary but it’s ok”

Honestly I’m a freestyle disco dancer and majority of kids that you see dancing all have a step where they do something into a split jump in the air and land in split. It’s just a normal dance move for us and it’s really not that hard if you have a bit of stamina and a solid split

I am binging on RuPaul’s drag race during the quarantine, and amazed at how the queens do jump splits and death drops without breaking a sweat. One contestant did a death drop off a platform approximately 3 feet from the floor. Seeing the DCC gals struggle, I wonder if men’s leg muscles have something to do with their ease at this move? Women are generally more flexible than men, but you would not know this from the performances these Drag Race contestants put on. Even the really large ladies can do a jump split. All of this with their genitalia tucked away in what has.to be uncomfortable. Gotta wonder,
