Ho Ho Ho it's time for another Christmas episode of Best of the Blurst! This year, we decided to do something different and leave our choices up to chance by having Santa Claus drop lumps of coal down the ol' Plinketto board and randomly select a few Christmas movies for us to watch!!!

@@1ynx shieet they're all Pollacks,; Mike with his surname, Jack said so himself, Jay's surname is Bauman which makes me like 99% sure his ancestors were Polish as Bauman spelled with one -n was a popular Polish Jewish surname, Poland having the biggest Jewish population in Europe before The Hitlers came for their eastern european tour. The funniest part though is Rich Evans, the man who builds all the sets for RLM, all the tables, Plinketto board, and is a very good craftsman and woodworker (just like Jesus may I add), is seemingly the only one who's not a Pollack. I never got to say this because there was no good reason to do so; but yeah, Stoklasa sounds so similar to Polish surname Stokłosa - it makes for an insanely tight fit in relatively small area in Poland. It implies Mike's ancestors were amongst those Polish highlanders which emigrated en masse to US.

I work as Historian here in Germany and focused a lot on Name Origins and Research and like i naturally do, i researched Stoklasa and it is a Czech Name by origin. First recorded in 1687. So close enough! Bauman of course is German from "Baumann" etc. So i guess the Polish Version you mentioned is someone Czech who "polish-ised (?) their name. Nothing uncommon in Europe

@@tyrgoossens Here in Germany there are certain types of Work you on purpose look to find Poles to do because they ask for less but what you pay is a lot for them when they live in Poland. For example Car Repairs if out of Warranty, never go to a German for Car Repairs, you pay 4x of what you pay for when a Pole does it and it's usually the same Quality

My grandpa's last words were, I kid you not, "that fucking kraut steel still hurts!". Otherwise, a nice guy, never said a derogatory term about anyone except that. Though he'd say that every time when asked "how's it going?" The crematorium gave us the shrapnel. It was very nice of them to sift through Gramps to find it.

Especially just for this particular figure and no other topics, as well known as he is to all of us, even those not steeped in historical details or Kremlin talking points. If there's anyone Gramps hated more than the Krauts who injured him, I'm sure it was Stepan Bandera. If only he could have known that this was the only thing the Nazis' defeat would change. You should put that on a T-shirt, though: "I helped defeat the Nazis all I got was shrapnel in my body and this lousy fundamental human right." They could get it in an extra-small size and put it on his urn.

5:15 fun fact about this crappy movie is the entire movie was animated by Scott Cawthon, the creator of Five Nights at Freddy's which is hilarious because I hate that I recognized that the models looks like his style of art and animation. Man really moved up in the world but I doubt his writing did.
