I love Worzel, I still have the toy of him from 1979 I bought for myself when I was 19. I hadn't got any children to buy him for back then!

Oh wow! Didn't know you could buy Worzel toys!. I was a huge fan as a kid, I still love it.

Brings back fond memories. I Loved watching this as a child. I Tried to get my children to watch one episode. They were Not interested in the slightest. The cast members and their acting really made the show work. No CGI or health and safety in insight. Lol

I can't believe the fondness with which people remember this. It was the WORST thing on Sunday evening. It was boring because it was so frustrating. WG was so stupid and not in a good way.

Agreed.. Wasn’t much choice for us back then right enough, I’d go back in an instant.. To much choice these days which makes it a pain in the balls trying to choose something to watch!

@@tomthx5804 This is Britain. We are famous for comedy. Our best comedians have come from the top universities in the world. When they make documentaries about comedy greats, WG is never on the list... It's 1980s ITV rubbish.
