in the video it says charlotte coleman died in 2021, this is an error she died 2001
The original worzel gummidge ran for four series & 31 episodes in the UK from 1979 to 1981 with Jon Pertwee playing Worzel Gummidge. this is just some of the cast.

I never knew Charlotte Coleman passed away in 2001, I thought she'd given up acting. I liked her character, bit sarcastic & the chemistry between her & Jeremy Austin was great. Reminded me of my Sister LOL

Yes she died way to soon still young at 33 she passed bronchial asthma in her flat alone very sad, i did like her and jeremy together to

@@HistoryMemorialandcrime Dying alone? that's even worse. I looked at her bio & it said she suffered from depression after her boyfriend was killed in an accident.

It must of been a realy had time for her, she was at her mums for tea and left early as she was not well and was found next day, really sad

@@ramblingrob4693 can’t argue with you bud. Pertwee was brilliant in the role. But the modern show was still good. It worked because it was totally different and didn’t try to copy the original. I think they based it more on the books.

It used to always scare me as a little kid when he used to fall backwards...then in the later series when they moved to New Zealand, he started to fall forwards....

@@HistoryMemorialandcrime I was 3yrs old in 79, but caught the re-runs on Sunday afternoons in the early 80's around 81/82 at 5yrs old. After they ended my favourite show was "Robin Of Sherwood". I've got an old picture from when I was around 4/5 yrs old of me meeting and getting an autograph from John Pertwee aka Worzel at Toy & Hobby in Manchester...I couldn't even reach the counter I was that young and small😁....

I know that - (I was 31 in 2001) and am asthmatic too. A girl in my year at school died of the condition aged 15; I came across her gravestone when looking for a relative's grave!

What a lovely tribute, grew up watching this classic through the 80's. It's now showing on talking pictures on freeview. Still good today as it did back then. So many fond memories. Thank you for sharing.
