@czarface Have u tried hydro dipping with rusto? I can tell u from my experience trying that it came out nothing like what u see on yt it was clumpy and textured like abstract art.

I used rustoleum primer and after about 2 days after dipping the primer ends up chipping away or when I go to clear coat the film fades away.

@@845bruteforce3 use OHW, no primer needed, sticks great, and dips amazing.

Nope, That is just the paint I have found works best out of all the paints I have tried. You can use whatever brand you like.

It's not my brand, but duplicolor does not give repeatable results. Seems every time I hear about it or try it sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Running a shop full time we do not have time to mess around, we only use stuff we know works everytime.

At 3 times the cost of duplicolor 4 times with shipping 😆

I am not 100% sure what else will work good, I only use hydro dip paints. See if you can find some urethane automotive paint in your area and experiment with that.

Yes it works on RC car bodies, but I have never done the insides, I always dip the outsides.

I would not recommend using anything but paints made for hydro dipping. No guarantee automotive paint will work and have consistent results.

You need activator if you are dipping with film like we do. If your doing that stuff where people just spray paint in a bucket... I don't know what to tell you. I don't do that.

I use clear coats made specifically for hydro dipping. OHW makes some good ones and they have satin.

Training...... lots and lots of training.... which is very expensive, I had no clue, but it was worth the money.

Just because you saw it on the internet doesn't mean it is the right way to do it. LOL I always use paint or at least a clear intercoat first.

I don't sell paint, or any hydro dipping materials. So I don't care what you buy, I'm sharing information about what works best out of all the paints I have tried because I get asked about it multiple times a day.

I get hate mail about daily now, I just laugh. In all seriousness, I have tried at least 40 different paints over the years of doing this business full time and I only share what actually works reliably 100% of the time. There are other options out there that people have used but not all of them give the same results time and time again without issues. I have way too many orders piled up to waste time with paints that might work decent, I need stuff that works every time with no problems, and OHW is that paint for me. Hell, I have had people say they use nail polish to dip to... if it works for them great, but I am not wasting time trying to make stuff work that is not designed for hydro dipping.

I'm only used to real Carbon Fibre & Resin and pretty good at it but thought I'd try my hand at Hydro dipping since it's cheaper, I don't think I'll be trying the nail polish thing though hehe!

I don't talk so fast that you cant understand... but there are captions if needed and youtube has a setting that allows you to slow the video speed if you need it to be slower.
