italy is a very complex mix of culture. Italy is not the "best" on everything. Maybe and i say maybe we are the best on diversity, even if Italy is a relative small country there are so many difference (food, culture, language, architecture) from one city to another even if they are just few km apart.

@Francesca Castrechini it was stronger in terms of military force, but the fact that the greek culture not only didn't disappear but rose above and survived the culture of the conqueror's shows how strong in those terms was the greek civilisation.

a little budget saving tip: choose a hotel or air bnb in Atrani, which is the town directly next to Amalfi. it's only a 8-ish min walk to Amalfi and you save a lot more than if you were to stay in Amalfi.

just 5 minutes from Casal Velino, there is the small town of Pioppi, where lived for many years the American biologist Ancel Keys and chemist Margaret Keys (his wife and collaborator) ; they formulated the theory of the "Mediterranean diet" (the healthiest in the world)

I have been to the Amalfi Coast so many times I lost count. We always stayed in Positano because of the central location. its my favorite place in the world and I visited 40 countries so far. I keep going back, its just magical!

The entire Amalfi cost, all the way to Naples, is dotted with caves. A few years back I had a neighbor who came from Naples, she told me that during WWII, when she was a little girl, her family had a sizable farm and hid their animals in those caves to prevent the Germans from taking them, they were stealing everything. She also told me that toward the end of the war her father, who was wanted by the Nazi, had to hide in those caves with the cows for several months until the liberation, at night she had to trek those dangerous rocks to bring him food because a kid wandering the country side would not arouse much suspicion; she was five years old.

KZfaq recommended your channel. I love your touring of the Amalfi Coast. I have been binge watching Niki Positano whom lives in Positano and have fallen in love with the Amalfi Coast. The ceramic store you love is beautiful. I couldn't believe when the owner hit the one plate with the other it didn't break. Also, the scarf you purchased in Capri was gorgeous and lets not forget about the fabulous food. I am going to check and see what other videos you have done.

This was one of the finest videos of ITALIAN FINE DINING. The Groto Paleseta Restorante in Scicli Italia is exceptional. One could almost taste the excellant cuisine. The Chef was so gracious. I have never seen such a clean and perfect kitchen.

We just watched this episode the other day and we were thrilled to see that you went to Da Gemma! Our meals there were spectacular. We ate there on our trip to Amalfi just this last summer. We stayed at the wonderful Residenza Luca right next-door.

I have just been on Amalfi coast!Definetly one of the best vacations and food in my life!We have been really impressed with local fish there!We have also visited all of the places in Naples that you have suggested!❤️Loved all of them!Street food and pastry are on point!And the margarita pizza where it has actually beeen created was unbelievable!Want to go back!Thank you for these amazing videos!Now I am just watching this one amd it brings back the amazing memories

Ho vissuto lì per 2 anni durante la mia prima visita e dal 2017 per un mese, probabilmente la mia prossima visita sarà tra qualche mese. I miei posti preferiti e' Sorrento, Positano, Capri, Ravello e Maiori, non molto di Amalfi ora perché è affollata e congestionata. 15 anni fa amavo Amalfi non Adesso. /Greetings from Malaysia. Thank you for your extraordinary video comparing to the rest of the bloggers on the Amalfi coast.I lived there for 2 years during my first visit and since year 2017 for a month , probably my next visit will be in few months time. My favourite places are Sorrento, Positano,Capri, Ravello and Maiori not much of Amalfi now because it's over crowded and congested. 15 years ago I loved Amalfi alot not anymore.

You will be amazed how a lot of people love fashion. The only problem is it's too expensive for quality ones in Italy for many to afford. I enjoyed the fashion presentation too. The scarf is awesome. I'm in New York and accessories like that are difficult to find.

Great tour! Dad is from a hilltop town above the Amalfi Coast. We have been here twice! Would love to visit again!
