Great video gents! So many fab books on your list! I am gobsmacked to have A DROWNED KINGDOM make a list composed by 2 of my favourite booktubers! Thank you so so much for this, and for flashing my whole series! So pleased you are willing to continue THE DROWNED KINGDOM SAGA! I am incredibly honoured and humbled by this! Both authors you mentioned that you note have inspired my work are my 2 favourite authors - Janny Wurts & Miles/Christian Cameron! Also very pleased to see Dear Dr. Fantasy make your list as well, with one of my top Indie fantasy books! Once again, I so appreciate this honour, and FURY OF THE GODS no doubt will wind up at the top of my personal favs for the year! Can't wait for it! Truth and Courage!!!

I always say Messiah ALONE as the sequel to Dune can be kind of disappointing if you don't read it together with Children. But glad you're enjoying it so far!

My favorite tv show so far is Queen of tears im loving the show it's really great it's quite unique it's part funny and at times heartbreaking

Since January, Trouble With Peace, Justice of Kings & Ship of Magic!!! All 5 star reads. I plan to finish the Boudica series and start The Burning too. Will’s enthusiasm for The Rage of Dragons convinced me! I did download the Wolf Den too…what can I say, in Will I trust!

I plan to start reading The Wolf Den in the next few months. Really interested to see what it's all about, based on how much you two have been raving about it! My favorite read of the year so far is The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett and I'm quite confident that it will stay the same until the end of the year. Simply an incredible story and definitely in my top 10 of all-time!

Noooo stop I can't handle the teases about The Fury of the Gods!!! 🥲 Very great list of faves though! I am really excited to binge the Wolf Den trilogy this year. And I also have to get back to Philip's works and dive into P.L.'s series, both lovely gents that I want to support 🥰

'We loved this character so much we named a duck after her' - I cannot imagine any higher tribute, haha! Top five for me so far: 1) House of Open Wounds by Adrian Tchaikovsky (this book might as well have been written for me personally, I loved it so much) 2) Lonesome Dove - Larry McMurtry 3) Empire of the Vampire - Jay Kristoff 4) We Are The Dead - Mike Shackle 5) Wool - Hugh Howey

I really need to try Louise Erdrich! I actually loved Dune part 1 so I’m really excited for part 2! Rogue one is the best Star Wars movie imho. I’m loving all the self pub love happening over here now! ❤

Great to see the final two books of the Wolf Den trilogy make the top 5! I haven't read the Temple of Fortuna yet, but as soon as it's out in paperback, I'll be getting it. For me, I prefer the first to the second, but still incredible story and writing.

Return to Edan was my favourite in the trilogy too, can’t wait for Dr F to bring out his standalone! Also super excited for the Bloodsworn read along :) I hate to be that guy but Egil is pronounced with the g sounding like a y - Eyil. I only say this as I am learning Iceland (an often thankless task). Maybe I just wanted to show off my knowledge ;)

Erdrich’s The Round House is exceptional!!!! One of my favorites. Kreugar’s Ordinary Graces and This Tender Land are so wonderful and you may enjoy it a lot. Erdrich’s The Sentence was fantastic.

Glad you enjoyed Egil's Saga, Will! I love a lot of the Icelandic sagas. Have you read Njal's Saga or the Laxdaela Saga?

Louise Erdrich is excellent, including her middle grade books. I should have known you would like her, B.E. My son and I love all things Ghibli - Mononoke is a beautiful story.

Edan! ☺And I am so excited for Fury of the Gods! Hope to get to The Battle of Maldon next year! Film & TV: While not on the same level as Band of Brothers and The Pacific, Masters of the Air has some nerve-wrecking aerial combat, Shōgun is AMAZING, same goes for Dune part 2 (though I personally prefer part 1: I guess I am a bigger fan of Oscar Isaac as the Duke, though I loved Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan!) and Dev Patel's directorial debut Monkey Man was a blast of an action movie, with heart and unfliching nerve to speak truth to power! Cheers!

Great that you liked Dune Messiah Ed. I´m really curious how Denis Villneuve is going to adapt this book since it´s I think more abstract and intricate than the first novel

Sacrilege! Dune 2 can't beat all star wars especially the originals. I'll give you the sequels though. If you want a good thriller try The Following. It's old now, but the first season is great. Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy aka Marc Anthony. Anyway, great video. Hope you're both well.

I didnt love Dune but I know I'm in the minority. Will I can't believe how lucky you are that Tolkien is on your required reading for college. Compared to the boring, crusty "classics" (barf) that I was forced to read getting my undergrad lit degree, it's like you're going to an amusement park vs. I was sitting in detention. You must have amazing professors.
