India remains indebted to the visionary steps of erstwhile Nawab of Junagarh who , in British times stopped hunting of the majestic Asiatic Lions in the Gir forest ( Gujarat ) . Thanks to Nawab's efforts the lion population in Gir increased from the then about 20 to around 600. The project to relocate some lions to Morena district ( Chambal River Valley ) Madhya Pradesh , should be undertaken without any delay . ---------------------- India is the only country in the world to have both Tigers and Lions ( also Panthers and Snow Leopards )

The wide roads made for easy access for vehicular traffic that too by clearing natural vegetation is depriving these wild beasts of their basic instincts to camouflage with the natural surroundings which is quite an unnatural phenomenon.

भारत में मैंने पहली बार इतना स्वस्थ शेर 🦁 देखा है ज़्यादातर हमारे भारत के शेर बहुत कमजोर भुखे और लंगड़ा के चलते हैं हमारे देश के जंगलों में शिकार बहुत कम है इसलिए कभी-कभी शेर खाने के लिए गाँव में आ जाते हैं और गाँव में नुक़सान करते हैं सरकार को ठीक से कुछ करना चाहिए Please save lion,Tiger and other animals

Anubis R Gir Lions are the hugest and most powerful amongst all the lions. History of lions begins from gir lions, but unfortunately thier cousins in africa that were migrated way back in history gets all the credits from Nat Geo n filmmakers though they are small 😊

Sanjeev nandu, no brother. Different countries the shapes and size of animals differ. The Siberian tiger is much larger than the Bengal tiger.

Please don't be stupid those lions died due to some virus .....gir national park security is the best in Asia and m not kidding...... You can't even take a piece of wood from that forest...i bet..... Forget about the lions.... No one dare to poach them in gir national park because locals themselves don't encourage poaching so please research and thn open ur mouth
