@Kailani8458 🤣 Each to their own, I suppose. "Tldr" the block doesn't need to be modified. There are plenty of examples running around without it, with over 300k miles on them. It's just luck of the draw I'm afraid, as with most cars. It was revised on the JZDA block on the Mk2 RS. The block mod on HYDA engines, as we call it, doesn't fix it either it can still happen. At least they don't go into a chernobyl style meltdown like the ecoboost does for taking sips out of the cooling system, causing corrosion and lack of lubrication then catastrophic failure if left, following years of class action lawsuits for not fixing manufacturing defects. The Volvo platform is proven time and time again. Long live the volvo V70 brick and the T5 inline turbo lol.

We never got the 5 pot here though in the US. Closest thing would've been the Volvo C30 as it had the same 2.5 5 pot.. Looks better than the focus, imo (2 door hatches will always look better, imo)..

The ST is so so fun to drive. The sound isn’t my cup of tea, I think they sound better stock, but I’m not a fan of any four cylinder sound really (and I own a Miata lol)

@@drakeweems2847 I’m guessing those are American cars, I used to own a type r ep3 ( civic ) and the same engine was in the dc2 integra. I believe it was the k20a2 or something, 2.0 na 4 cylinder. Sounded crazy for 4 cylinders and built like a brick too

My 13 st2 sounds good, huge mod list depo 3in catless, magnaflow 3” with resonator delete. K&n full intake, forged BOV huge intercooler unknown brand it was on car when bought. Msd coils with 1 step colder plugs and tuned by the 🐐 Alan at edge on e30

Miss my ST. Traded up to an s2k…. But the ST gets slept on too much. Gains 40+ horsepower throughout its life, tuning them is crazy, there are factory freaks, they love e85(just need the extra injectors), and there is a lot you can do by just those things. Like 320whp kind of good. Plus they have no right to sound as good as they do, collector heads typically sound terrible, but the focus ST is zesty.

@@michaelmole5435 it will for sure be reliable look under the motor for leaks and inspect for any kind of leaks before you buy it depending on the year 16,000 could be high if it’s 2015 or newer I’d pay 15 no more than 15 though

My man take this crackle tune of your car. It is doing nothing but putting strain on you turbo downpipe and exhaust for no reason yes it sounds cool and i have a crackle tune myself but i also have tunes without it. I also person dont like diverter valves that noise you hear is his intake. I have a turbosmart blow off valve which is 50/50 so i still get some push back for good intake noise. But the car does sound good. Are stage 2 93 tune with stratified ?

@@lilmeatevan thank you! I did some research and Cobb has a great set up... I already have symposer delete, larger BOV, step colder plugs, Ford tune, stage 2 intercooler, running about 29psi boost, hence the Roush package. That car pulls hard in 3rd and 4th! Fun ride to own!!

You need to let the RPM go down to the right lvl before you can let the clutch go. Or else you will dmg the drivetrain by forcing the engine and transmission to match the revs instead of natural revmatching

@@lilmeatevan wow 70k thats nothing. There are cars with 240k miles with its first clutch. If you treat it well it last its whole life.
