Like you, Carlsbad was a bucket list item for me. We did the self-guided tour a couple of years ago. It did not dissapoint. Wind and rain and earthquakes, oh my 😜😜What a crazy few days for you. Thanks for sharing.

That was a cool cargo trailer camper. Love Carlsbad area. Great hike. Went to the caverns back when I was a kid and loved it. Haven’t actually been to the caverns with Bill. You’re lucky you’ve never had to hook up in the rain. See you soon, Bill and DeAnna

Death defying day with Deb 😂. It was pretty crazy to go there right after an earthquake. It was very cool though so thanks for sharing! Pretty amazing that after 2 years this was the first time you had to tear down in the rain! Safe travels! - Mike and Shelley

We loved our visit to Carlsbad, we walked down the natural entrance and took the elevator back to the top. Joel I hope the drive back down was better than the drive up 8)

I was at Carlsbad caverns many years ago, quite an incredible place. I remember the water pools had incredible colors. I also remember it being very cool down there. Lol We plan on RVing next year. Hope to run into you guys one day!! Beer and 🍕right up my alley. Safe travels. 😊

I sometimes miss pushing a patrol car around. I tell my two sons I ought to go back to police work. Both are active LEO’s they just laugh and say yeah right old man. One is a Deputy the other is city cop. I tell them I worked before computers in cars so I was a real cop they laugh at me.

It seems like it's always super windy in NM!! Guadalupe Mtn Brewery was closed when we were in Carlsbad..... :-( The caverns are amazing!!

We are not fond of that entrance into the state park. Do you know if they were planning on trimming the trees at the entrance? LOL @ Joel's face as the elevator kept going down! 😂 It is so miserable tearing down in the rain! Y'all looked like weather people with your yellow raincoats on though! ~ Shion and Matthew

We never saw a ranger to tell them about it. No one was at the office when we stopped in. The heights in the caves were really bad for Joel! The yellow coat was Joel's old patrol rain jacket and there are pants too! 😂 Thanks Joel, Deb & 🐕 Maya

Hello this was great! First yes this is our favorite part of traveling and now You tubing meeting such wonderful people. All the breweries you stopped at looked perfect! I already have the exact tour on my list funny thing is I book these things I really sorta want to do but dont want to do just like Joel and hell no right after an earthquake. Strange think one happened in a section of Washington yesterday a small one and one happened today in Idaho bordering Oregon we have been having a few of these lately. Ok I would have felt and said the same thing hearing Rons tummy but I would say I should have had him make us something or should have made sure we went somewhere. LoL! Yes everytime we do something out of one of our comfort zones usually mine we earn that beer! Just delt with heights in Seattle and in a few weeks your gonna laugh cause thats the first thing Ron said let's go get you a beer princess! Well good thing with the rain gives you some practice for when you get here!! Always love watching you both! US hanging is gonna be epic we will need a few different meets ups !! Love making up songs!! Or altering versions of songs! Safe Travels!

We boondocked not far from Carlsbad Caverns. Unfortunately they closed down because of the outbreak. Guess we have to go back. I would have freaked out knowing an earthquake happened.

Great video and great ideas for the area. Maybe we missed it but how long was the hike in the cavern? It wouldn’t off good for Joel to check the tires at night because they say to check them while they are cold.

Without doing the hike down it was still 3 miles of walking down there - the hike down would have added 1.25 miles to what we did! The caves are huge! Thanks- Joel, Deb & 🐕 Maya

Did you have to get a special permit to film in the NP?
