@@metal_helm Well, a couple of weeks later, here are some of the results. I set the three springs parallel on the back, tunned everything, and after one day more or less, I adjusted the intonation in the old way (since it is an lp lic. Floyd, neither The Key nor the Skyscraper would work), and everything seemed right. But the guitar continued to present tuning problems... so I figured out that the real problem was the locking nut! The middle block especially (3rd and 4th strings) did not close very well. I compared that to my other Floyd-equipped guitars, and yes, the block did not close well. So I sanded that block carefully a little bit and voilá! Now it holds tunning almost perfectly, it only loses tuning if I abuse the Floyd a lot. Since I am the fourth owner of that guitar, I just suppose that one of the previous owners had lost that block of the locking nut and replace it with another one which did not fit very well. Many thanks, again, for your videos an for encourage people to solve this kind of tuning problems!

@@brandonharris9160 oh yeah, I see! for some reason when you said "key" I thought you were talkign about this tool, then I remember there is a separate tool called the key. I never had an problems with the length and I'm not sure what "the round piece with the finger grips" but I never had anything become loose when I use it.

yeah, there a few ways to do it, but they come at a price. I'm trying to avoid that for now, but may come to that path eventually. I think I'm just trying to figure out people who don't have hardened steel FR and these cheap ones like mine and try to get it as best as possible without breaking the bank.

@@metal_helm well the one i have is a rly shit zero two, i have it locked down coz i always change tunings on it, its just rly annoying to intonate coz i need to detune on divebomb whenever i move the saddles...

I understand what you are saying, but for me, blocking the unit is a one time thing and it's done. But loosening the strings over and over takes a LOT of time.

I have no idea because I never used the FU tool. I just use this thing the other day and work great like it always does. How much is the FU tool ?

@@metal_helm The FU tool was designed by Floyd Rose and takes literally a minute or two per string. Simple, quick. I don't even understand why the other tool was produced other than maybe the dude didn't know that Floyd Rose already had a solution/tool for simple intonation. I paid $13 for mine.

@@metal_helm On your Donner DT-4 clip-on guitar tuner (a tuner that I know how it works) at the left hand bottom corner which says "A4=" and then "442" below.
