This is how to fix a broken Jeep-style ride-on toy equipped with a Wellye circut board/brain box. These are sold by Walmart online, as well as eBay and a ton of different online retailers under various brand names. It's basically the same product. This might also work for non-Jeep toys. These boxes fail for one reason or another, but are often the cause of an unresponsive vehicle (troubleshoot other things like battery etc.) I over-volted mine by supercharging with an unapproved battery which blew out the main board, as well as the radio/sound effects unit (It was fast though, while it lasted!). The replacement part was clearly updated and strengthened for more current over a longer period, but still not able to go above about 12 volts. This is a pretty easy fix; disconnect the battery, locate the control box under the hood, remove the mounting screw(s), disconnect the wire connectors (some have tabs which require pinching to release) and make note of where each connector goes.
