Anyone wondering if the instructionals are worth their price YES! I was a little bit hesitant compared to much cheaper instructionals. However, these instructionals don’t just teach you moves they teach you concepts that will change your game and allow you to infuse your own style as well. The sequences shown usually revolve around dilemmas and counters to common opponent movements. I’ve gotten the closed guard and half guard by Gordon, and a few from John. Awesome content!

@ijgr11

Wondering why would you need that? I think that if they move is because they are uncomfortable or feeling in danger. What my coach says is: just control while their move, "never interrupt your opponent when he/she is making a mistake"

This is super helpful against women and small guys. The larger guys typically try to escape, but the girls often just keep their arms very tight and it's unclear how to loosen them in way that would also work on a stronger opponent.
