i like max landis i enjoy most of his pitches and he is pretty blunt and straight to the point which i respect.

I like Max as a person. He DOES take a turn into rude territory at times, but it's only because he's extremely passionate. Someone just needs to make him take notice when he's being rude (like in this video), and he'll understand without hesitation.

Dude, Max's pitch was amazing.!The guy is such an original thinker and someone whom Hollywood desperately needs in it's current age of the reboots, sequels, derivativeness, and unoriginality.

Doesn't really matter if Max would have blown his load on that, neither of the other guys had even a load to shoot. So it wasn't hard to see why Andy just called it. It wouldn't be any different if they both basically gave up.

Agreed. Andy also often says it's about the 'passion', which really just creates an environment where the optimal strategy is to deny absolutely everything your opponent says as loudly and vehemently as possible. Although ultimately we all know Andy just hands the point based on everything *other* than the arguments. Like how guest stars have a hugely disproportional win rate, how he massively favors Alicia Malone whenever she's on, and how he went noticeably softer on Landis during this fight because they don't want to brush him off so soon after Landis declared last time he would never return to the show. Or how the points are nearly always tied 1-1-1 by round four. And so on.

***** I have nothing against Andy. He seem like a swell guy. I'm just expressing my opinion and frustration with some of his judging style and decisions. I'm sure many people love Andy's style or else Movie Fights wouldn't be as popular as it is :)

if they did real muzzle flashes at close range you could a) kill the person b) serious injury them. as much as i agree the CG flashes didn't hold up as well watching it again. the other aspects of the movie made up for it.

Max is NOT an all star

CaptainRegular Max hasn't been on enough shows to even be considered an 'all star'. Alicia and Dan have been in countless movie fights and Max has only been on a handful of times so far.

His movies usually sound better on paper too.

I think we need more of a variety of fighters that good, using the same old good fighters over and over again gets stale.

Seth Rogen and Kevin Smith were some of the best fighters they've ever had. JUST REMEMBERED! Doug Benson and Elijah Wood are pretty awesome fighters too!

Your argument isn't exactly valid. The movie Kirkman picked was the third film in the George A. Romero zombie franchise. Excluding that it was Romero's third zombie movie, there are several films before Romero's featuring zombies. Hence not pioneering the genre. Also, I highly recommend Day of the Dead if you've never seen it! :D

I would be happy if they just killed the "That's not ACTUALLY a _______ movie, it's just a movie with _______" argument. It's just not fun to watch them play semantics instead of actually talking about the cool things about their movies, imo at least.

I don´t know. The whole thing, that he had a twin brother the whole time? I mean it works within the context of magicians, right? But the way it plays out in the movie always felt a little fabricated to me. It´s a solid movie though...

The audience is privy to this before Jackman is, I think that's why its not the perfect twist.

It's controversial in the way that's it's questionable whether infected from the movie could actually be considered zombies.

A "zombie" is a fictional thing and, imo, can't have a true definition because of it. To understand what I mean, think about vampires. The very first vampire in fiction was not Dracula but they shared many similarities. Dracula is considered the definitive "vampire" in pop culture yet there have been many variations on vampires that are very different from Dracula (see Legacy of Kain or Twilight) but do share some similarities and are accepted as vampires by fans of that particular fiction. That there are disagreements about what makes a vampire a vampire (or in this case a zombie a zombie) doesn't change anything really. There are some differences, sure but there are also important similarities. Just like how all vampires drink blood (while any particular set of fictional descriptions on what kind of blood, how much they need, or the affects of it vary) all zombies share similar traits. They are generally mindless, attack any and everyone that's not also a "zombie", and can create new zombies through bites. All of those things fit the 28 Days Later lore. I'm not saying these are definitive, as I would be negating my own point if I did, but these are similarities that almost every zombie fiction seems to share and IMO, that makes 28 Days/Weeks creatures zombies.

I feel like when Alan Moore has come out and said he doesn’t like the movie because it neutered his book, you can’t fully get behind that statement. It’s a good movie, but not a great adaptation of the book. I mean, it’s not like he doesn’t have the ability to say he’s wrong. He’s said many times The Killing Joke was “a mistake he will always regret.”

Taking someone's idea, changing 5% of it, and then doing the rest badly is not at all the same thing as improvements in vehicle technology. Plus if you take into account the nebulous "feelings" people have driving the two cars, i'd be willing to bet some people *would* rate the Model T higher than "generic pointy car b-32432". And nebulous "feelings" frantically justified by trying to sound smart *is* how movies are rated.

Definitely up there. I gotta go with Watchmen though simply for the level of ambition it took to try and adapt it. Both are great films and the source material is even better but I gotta give Watchmen a bit of an edge.
