Betaflight 4.5 RC2 Return to Home Test!

5 ай бұрынLike the title says, updated the firmware on my DarwinFPV 129 to Betaflight 4.5 RC2 to test out the new return to home. It was a total success although I do need to adjust the landing part, that was a hard drop! Next up I will test this on another long range quad to see how it works on something more modern, wish me luck!

Yes it is, I was so stunned on how well it worked! Yeah, I need to adjust that for sure. More testing Monday when the weather get's nice again. Apparently we will not get a break from the rain storm that's hitting later tonight until Sunday evening.

That look very nice compared to what I have been reading about on Facebook , everything I read there saying its landing within 20 feet from take off .

Honestly I am stunned! It's a 1 time test so who knows if it will do that every time? I'm working out the softer landing stuff and I just took the plunge and loaded the firmware on my Rekon5 but will test a bit more on the Darwin before really putting it to the test further out.

@smithe68 I'm looking to trying out gps for my first time and was thinking to wait until there was official release as I'm very wet behind the ears on all of it .

@@GenesRCAddiction Not a bad idea on waiting for the official release. I’ve been messing with GPS rescue since 2020 so I’m sort of knowledgable, still not all that smart though 😅
