Imagine being one of the members of the orchestra and seeing this video for the first time and realizing that you are playing for John Lennon.

It’s telling that a song written by the John Lennon over 40 years ago is better than most modern pop songs.

George once said, " The Beatles will exist without us. " Three generations after their last record, they still enchant the world. Beatles forever.

This song is a goodbye from John, and a love letter to all Beatles fans. It's like a bow on top of a carefully wrapped gift. It makes me cry every time.

It's hopeful, and sorrowful all at the same time. Lennon always wrote music that was deep, but slightly melancholy. It's basically a Christmas gift to the world. It's not hard be emotional. Because there's always the what if's on the Band getting together had we not lost John in 1980. Even if it was a one off studio album and no touring. Thank you lads for everything. Thank's Beth for sharing.

There is a really touching back story. Think of me now and then, my old friend was the last thing John said to Paul as Paul left the Dakota not long before John’s death. You can google the article and the eerie coincidence of Carl Perkins including the same phrase in a song he wrote a few years later to thank Paul for his hospitality at the end of an 8 day visit. It’s like there was some sort of cosmic thread connecting this song, the parting moment at the Dakota, Carl Perkin’s visit and the eventual discovery of the demo. It’s like the tape needed to be found, and how ironic that Peter Jackson would be responsible for finding John’s precious voice for one last Beatles recording.

Plus, that was George Martin's son who was conducting the orchestral parts, so that's another connection to the original era of the group!

If John tried to make us all cry with this song, he succeeded. A tear for every word and every note of this song. 😢😢😢

The most beautiful and amazing thing is that the magic works. The old Beatles magic is back. You see highly emotional people everywhere. This is probably the farewell to the Beatles that never happened. They will forever be in the front row of all music creators. Thank you. 🎵❤☯☮

The Beatles changed the world of Rock & Roll. Their success started the British invasion 1964 in America. Each one of the Beatles had their own unique talent. How really lucky we have been to listen to their music. ✌✌

I grew up loving the Beatles. Wanting to be a Beatle. My mom let me go to school late so I could watch the Beatles arrive in America for the very first time. I was 9 years old.

I can make it through hearing the song just fine. But if I watch the video, I tear up every time. What a tremendous way to cap the Beatles legacy this is! Nice reaction, Beth.
