Grip lasts longer on most Gum rubber soles, as opposed to a herringbone and even most cupsole. This is a reason why in mid 1970 and prior some people loved using Gum rubber soles for basketball, later a true cup rubber sole came out and once broken in a cupsole rubber offers almost as much grip once worn in a bit but migh not last as long as gum sole in terms of grip. Hering bone was used on some models until the 1980's because players in the lower collage and high school level sometimes due to school rules needed a non marking sole. Once some cupsole shoe models in 1980's were able to be made non marking or nearly non marking, players switched. I had in Middle school basketball a herringbone cupsole combo on my basketball shoes as needed non marking sole and it seemed to work best for grip and durability.

I’ve had similar issues sometimes! Each drop has improved and subtle changes. I tend to adjust to the insoles. Thank you for the support ❤️

Es Accel slim. Cup sole but still pretty slim, other than laces they last longer than most other shoes I’ve tried. I can’t skate vulcanized shoes anymore without it killing my feet.

I feel like pricing could be way more competitive. I used to get Vans Eras for £30, they're £60 now, most shoes now are £70-£100+ and I just don't get it, how do people rationalize these prices these days. Andy Anderson said he wanted his new Etnies signature shoe to be under $100 and they're still $80! massive savings. Opus shoes are £56 but shipping to the UK is +£31 so £87 not a great option either! =D

State makes a pretty good, cheap skate shoe that have a wider toe box! Check em out!!

@@retrorevival1 Better then running shoes from good brands even low end models some make. Now has gotten so bad models are $70--$100 for a low end model some people are going with brands like Health, a Chinese brand made for Olympic level training/racing in a few models and some elite spikes as well as beginner spikes or OneMix for elite racing roads as a low cost alternative a guy from UK worked with a running shoe company making sold trainers or an under $130 pair of proper supper running shoes.

a Minimal shoe company Xeroshoes makes a few models of shoe that could be used for skateboarding, bonus most of the real shoes and non super minimal sandal are made for at least distance from USA coast to coast distance if not double with one model of beefier sandal known to be nearly 3 times USA coast to coast distance. Shoes are made with a wide toebox becuse of being a true minimal shoe. Only reason people get a new model before time is uppers need replacing on some mesh shoes.
