I review and do a cut test with the new Heretic Colossus OTF switchblade pocket knife. Spoilers: This knife is AWESOME!

I have the colossus in a tanto blade and i agree its a very nice knife. I also have a couple of ultratechs and combat troodons, plus one gt recon elite. The colossus is between the ultratech and CTs size wize and carries very well for me. The big CTs a little big for edc and so is the recon elite but that is a beautiful knife. Oh i love the texturing on this knife. The purple color on mine is beautiful, also.

Love mine but the inlay look bad after 6 months. Nearly gone where the pocket clip slides into the pocket.

How many ball bearings are under the switch? Just curious because I watched another video where someone reassembled one and it was only one,which seems like it should be at least 2 to me.

I believe mine had four, though it had slots for 6 I believe. I’ve since sold it. There seems to be some inconsistency with the bearings from what I can gather.

Yes. Almost every OTF knife (the Hawk Deadlock is the exception) will have some blade play.

It looks interesting, but that actuator sucks if you are left handed, so pass. Definitely not a competitor for the Glycon, but more of a competitor for the Guardian Tactical 035.

Having owned all three of those knives, I’d agree that the Glykon (if you get a good one, unlike me) is the better knife. But, even with my left hand, I find the Colossus’s slide isn’t uncomfortable slide and I still feel like it’s more comfortable than the Glykon’s. As far as an EDC knife, the RECON-035 wins, but the Colossus is a higher-quality knife as far as lock-up, ergonomics, and blade steel, if you ask me.

It’s not as comfortable for left handed people, that’s for sure, but it’s honestly not too bad. I wanted to mention that in my video but forgot.

@@ohthethingsyoucancut1740 Yeah I can't imagine it's as easy to use, still looks nice I just don't see myself getting something like that that seems catered toward specifically right handed users. Button locks are the same issue. I have a button lock that I don't like using because it's right handed.

Yeah, that makes sense. I find using a button lock with my left hard works if I use my index finger, but that doesn’t work for everyone.

NO COMPARISON to the #1 seller in the world??? The Lightning & Lightning Elite? Can that expensive steel hold up against Elephant skin? Going on a hunt soon. May need to skin out a youngster. I can see yours is NOT really sharp at all. Ya' may need to spend some $$ on a real sharpening system, next.
