The Heat of 10 billion suns was not actually a physical attack, it was a metaphore of Superman, in fact the line "10 billion suns" is taken from DC one million evemt, when Superman Prime one million first appeared he was described as ten billion thinking suns, and guess what, dc one million and final crisis are both written by Grant Morrison. So mandrakk was actually using his (Superman) own narrative against Superman himself

Captain Marvel was the "Superman" of his universe before his comics line was folded into DC comics proper, that's why he's there.

The Mandrakk that came back at the end of Final crisis was not Dax Novu, it was Rax Ogama. The original Mandrakk came back in THE UNEXPECTED 2018 comic where he explains that HE CAN NEVER KE KILLED
