In the studio today is the new Trail Terrain tyre from BFGoodrich. We were really excited to see this tyre as its an interesting category sitting between a highway or road tyre and the infamous K02 (might be a comparison video dropping soon on that). So perfect for your CUV, SUV or some utes out there on the market. A well rounded tyre that is also 3 Peak Mountain / Snow rated.

We have these on our new RAV4 Hybrid Cruiser, located in the Pilbara and they go very well for the unsealed roads up here.

A great video, really comprehensive and objective. I put a set of these on 2020 RAV 4 Hybrid AWD and on dry tarmac, they are great - everyting that you have reported here. With just over 10,000 kms completed, I can say that the one really dissappointing thing that I have found is their performance on wet tarmac. They understeer horribly in turns. Perhaps it is because of the tarmac/hot mix that we have here in Australia, but as soon as it rains, you need to take off a heap speed in turns and in round-a-bouts and turn in really slowly and gently because the car just pushes across the apex of the turn and runs wide every time. Wear has been admirable, but I will be shifting to something else when these are worn; possibly Pirelli Scorpion or Dunlop Grand Trek.

I think that's one of the most honest and correct descriptions of the 3pmsf symbol and rating i ever heard on YT! And that from a contry that sees almost no snow... greetings from a country that differs from australia by 2 letters and half a globe ;-)

These tires were equipped on my 2023 Kia Sportage X-Pro, their off road trim of the SUV. Totally positive reviews on the car & off road abilities. Best in its class. Another Great review on my suv and now great review for BF Goodrich too. Yours is about the 7 review I’ve watched. Thanks for your input. Good work Kia & BF Goodrich. 👍🏾

Tyre Review, any word on the recently spied KO3? I’m just about to replace my hoops (KO2) and cannot decide where to go next, KO2 being quite old now. Liking the Toyo OC, liking the MT Baja Boss (although they currently don’t have EU conformity) so I’m wondering whether the KO3 might be the logical next step. Needed for a ‘classic’ Defender, 18” wheel, need a 3 peak snowflake tyre, and like (using your favourite word) an aggressive look. Any news from your BFG dealer?

i think it's meant to be in the same category as like the Yokohama G015 A/T that's a 75/25 tyre and the bridgestone duller in this section. it's not in the same category as ko2 as it's a 50/50 so there really isn't any reason to look, it would be a really good tyre for the CX-7 or subaru outback when you want something better than OEM as they go from 16 to 22 in rim size.

Interested in a list of ATs with rim protection. Unfortunately most retailer websites don’t include that in the tire descriptions.

Any idea on whether Falken will bring their Wildpeak A/T Trail down to Australia? Or, any guesses on why they haven't done so already? Cheers.

What is the maximum tire pressure for the trail terrain with the size of 285/45R22, just put them on my RAM truck last month. The standard pressure is 36PSI for my all season tires before.

South Africa has them with white lettering. How do they compare to the Pirelli Scorpion AT plus?

I have the Pirelli. They are great on road and in the wet as well as on dirt. Haven't tried yet on snow. But they are way too noisy and I won't get them again. I would look at the Yokohamas or these

you knoe those tires are pretty good but the nokian outpost at is a lot better i live in canada bc we get a lot of snow maybe you could try them just a thought😊

How is the Nokian Outpost AT on the road? Road noise is an issue I want to avoid since I use the truck for long highway trips as well as some off roading. The Outpost is a great looking tire and the light weight of those is amazing.

Hey Erick! What would be interesting is pizza cutter vs fat bastard over a variety of terrain types. Rock, gravel, sand, mud. They'd probably come out on top in mud, but the others I'd be curious about.
