Okay, I have both of these tires and I would like to leave my opinion and experience with them, hope this helps someone. The trail terrains I own are 215/65 r16 and they are mounted in my 2007 chrysler voyager (same as town and country). They are very comfortable, they stop great on dry, okay in wet, they corner great in dry, they corner well in wet (pavement). On dirt and gravel I would use them for casual offroading like a mine or logging trail on any conditions (wet or dry). In my mind they are perfect for SUV's and mid sized pickups and smaller that function as daily drivers and hit dirt on the weekends purely as transportation for annother activity like camping, kayak, MTB, fishing, etc. If the intention is to use them for offroading like a jeep owner thinks he will use his jeep, then you need more. The KO2's I own in a 265/65 r17 for a chevy colorado. They last forever, they do well in dry pavement, they slip a lot on wet pavement after some time (brand new they do great though). On wet is the same story as dry pavement, they grip, corner and break well untill they don't (about 3/4 to 1/2 life left). Now, offroad they are absolute beasts. They are the perfect tire unless you are roaming through the everglades or doing some serious rock crawling, in which case I would absolutely tell you to go for the KM3's or other Mud terrain. Now, BFG makes annother tire worth noting: the Advantage TA Sport. If you have an SUV or a mid sized pickup truck and you plan to have a dedicated set of tires for off roading, then consider the Advantage TA sport and the Trail terrains for that pavement setup and the KO2's or KM3's for thos off road adventures. One final note, if you have a working pickup truck or a permanently ultra heavy rig, you will have to go for the KO2's or KM3's just for the load rating.

Thanks for your information mate. I was thinking buy KO2 on my Hilux with canopy camper. I'm going to camp and little offroad on gravel, little mud and some snow but usually i'm working in town and using in town. All cons are ok for Ko2 but i write somewhere else like you write which is slippy on road (asphalt road, or like you said pavement) and it thinks me so. Here is can be so rainy and i don't wanna slip :) So what can you suggest. Thanks for your answer and who else reads these :)

@@mcankaka Hey, sorry for the late response, YT never notified me on your reply, but here I go and I hope it aint too late. I would advice you for the Trail Terrains. I have somewhat of a similar thing with a Chevy Express Van 15 passenger model. It is used Daily in the city, It gets loaded to its Max Capacity or more at least every other week and travels about 300 miles on highway when that happens. But, It is our big Vehicle and We take it for adventures like camping, Kayak, MTB, etc. So, I needed an LT tire of at least 120 load rating that is absolutely great on the pavement on any conditions (9000 pounds traveling down the road between 80 and 100mph need good tires on dry or wet pavement), and I also wanted to not get stuck on wet dirt with the OEM Bridgestone V-steel Tires it came with. If the Trail Terrain came in those load ratings I would never see somewhere else, but I had to and the best tire I could find is the Yokohama Geolandar g015. So, there you go, For a Hilux it should be fine to go with either one of them, They are both quiet as a mouse, handdle great under all conditions and they both look good (BFG is the king of looks in my opinion, but that is for you to judge). Please let me know what you got and how it is performing for you, It is always good to hear the experience of other people

Your car is american, and American conditions this channel is Australian and we don't have ice and snow on our roads unless you live in the high back country of NSW. The TA sport is an all season ROAD tyre only.

I replaced my stock Michelin tires with BFGOODRICH® ALL-TERRAIN T/A® KO2 TIRE LT275/65R20/E. I have a 2019 F250 king ranch with 6.7 L diesel. And I love these tires. I’ve had them for 4 years now. They still have lots of tread on them. Probably 30,000 miles or so. I haul an Arctic Fox 865 truck camper (4,500 lbs) and tow a boat ( 2,500 lbs). I travel a lot and do boon docking almost exclusivity… which means no campgrounds. That means that I get off into the sand and snow often. I’ve had no issues. I usually keep the tires pumped up to max 80 psi pressure. The sidewalls seam stiffer than the Michelins and that adds a little peace of mind when swiping a curve or rock unintentionally. They look great too. Most truck guys that see them and don’t know about them want to. I’ll replace these tires with more of the same. Happy camper!

I've had the trail terrains on my '97 Z71 K1500 Chevy for a few months now and i am really impressed with the incredible smoothness and improvement in fuel economy i gained about 2 miles of mpg in my old truck going from 13 mpg to 15 mpg average, i like more reserved look of the tread pattern being a good balance of on road and off road design. I bough them looking for an SL rated tire that was reasonably priced, good warranty, off road capable with a daily driving focus and these tires fit the bill.

I just got the Trail terrain installed on my 2015 GMC Canyon. I was disappointed at first in appearance since I meant to get the more aggressive looking All-terrains. However, I don’t do off reading and am on pavement 99.9% of the time, outside of one camping trip a year where I barely leave pavement. With that said, I’m enjoying the ride so far on my trail terrains and am still deciding whether I want to spend the extra $ and make the swap purely for a athletics.

I have the trail-terrains on my Honda CR-V AWD. I go camping in Utah quite often and find myself on dirt roads all the time. I’ve been very pleased with the trail-terrains: they ride very comfortably, and are just as quiet as a typical radial tire. I’ve done some light off-roading (as much as you can in a CR-V) in Moab on the slick rock and I had to go uphill on a washed out, wet and muddy road in the Tetons, and the tires performed really well. I’ve been extremely surprised with how grippy the tires are on rocks, mud, and loose sand; again, nothing too crazy, but I definitely wouldn’t have been as confident with radials. I think they’re perfect for SUV’s and crossovers that see a fair amount of off-reading. I would even recommend them for larger SUVs and trucks that spend more time on pavement with the occasional off-road trail.

I had ko2’s for 6 years/45000 miles. Looked great rode rough and I didn’t find them great in snow. Never off road, but purchased them on reviews and looks. Also noticed a decrease in fuel mileage. Purchased trail terrains 6 months ago. So far find they ride better, and love the appearance. Oh and mine are white lettered contrary to the gentleman on the video. For my driving I think they will serve me well.

Have had the Trail Terrain on my 17 Yukon XL replacing Michele’s Defebder LTX M/S Have 30k on them. Highway ride and noise is very compareable , soaks up bumps decently and are great in snow so far. Wear has been excellent. Where the tire really lets you down is Wet traction. I put 45k plus a year on my big trucks, been through lot of AT tires. Never had a tire slip and skid so much on wet roadways as this trail terrain. To me borderline unsafe. Sure I flip switch in 4wd and it sticks better on wet pavement , but this is bar far one of the worst wet traction tires I’ve owned out of at least 20 over the years. It’s a shame because the ride quality rivals some Of the best , west has been great , snow has been in line with the rest , MPG’s are above the heavier AT’s but Subpar wet traction really makes this tire one I will not recommend or Repurchase.

I fitted ko2’s to my 90 4Runner about 6 months ago, the pros and cons are: Pros, look great, a proper looking tough 4x4 tyre that will handle anything thrown at it. Smooth ride with low noise, excellent grip off and on road, no signs of wear after approx 6000 km of mainly bitumen driving. Cons: They’re expensive at around $320,00 each. They’re a heavy tyre so fuel economy will suffer especially in a low powered car, The higher profile compared to other comparable sizes will make your speedo read a bit slower than normal. The Pros far outweigh the Cons in my opinion so would have no hesitation buying another set in future. 31/10.5/15.

We need LT sizes in the Trail Terrains. I insist, Those tires are the best most working vehicles can ask for. Most trucks only see pavement, dirt roads and some gravel trails... they dont need Ko2's, they need an E load Trail terrain in all the same sized KO2's that have that E load rating. I had to look elsewhere for my new tires for my Chevy Express van 3500. I needed a 265/65r17 tire in a 120 or 121 load rating and I wanted trail terrains.

@@sabufinisher no change at all if you have the stock tiers and rims which are 275/75-16 then your next rim should be 17 with max size 285/70 or stander 275/70-17. BF-Goodrich trail terrain for more on road 80/20 % then off road, for off road then you must take KOTs .If you need more smooth ride you better go with Michelin LTX
