Thanks for posting this video. I've recently got back on a stationary bike to get back into shape and like to watch videos of cycling in London and England as I peddle. This video of yours is my favorite! Thanks again!

wow! Thats some serious riding! 3 hours and 11 is insanely quick!
@adamc5992 жыл бұрын
I watched it and thought it was insanely quick ... then at the 2022 BHF ride on Sunday, I did it 5 minutes faster than this! I'm *not* insanely quick, but we did have a slight tailwind, so I expect that accounts for it.

Nice video - brought back memories of my one and only LTB in 1995. Hard to tell if this is the same route after so many years - and the fact I only ever covered the ground once! And I for one love that there's no soundtrack.

I literally watched the whole thing.. the guy at 2:45:13 without the helmet and going faster than the speed limit at 2:57:51. Excellent ride well done to you! I’m doing it this Sunday and hopefully if I finish on Sunday that would be an achievement :))
@adamc5992 жыл бұрын
Did you finish? It was my first time on Sunday, I loved it. I wonder if no-helmet guy took it off for the climb, and we can't see it on his left side. It's only walking pace at that point, so maybe not a massive safety concern 🙂

Riding with Mr OG at 00:53, got dropped at 01:08. Tried to play catch-up thereafter pending heart rate.This is a great ride for a great cause and I invite everyone to take part.Only gripe I have is this is a great ride, which I will not miss and on father's day which annoys my kids and unfortunately for lots of fathers this would be their last. hopefully we can all get together in mass and request BHF to reschedule date in the future.

Surprised there was so much overtaking, especially early on - assumed people were started in order of the "expected time" on the registration form to reduce fast passes on slower riders.

Nice video - looks like you had an early start - and no hold-ups that hit the later riders.

Quite a few marshalls around there - most of'em half asleep. What was he doing, not giving the correct direction well in advance? What else was he there for?

I’m doing the London to Brighton bike ride in September does anyone know if this is the same route please great video and I’m now looking forward to the ride think I need some extra hill practice looking at ditchling beacon looks very painful 😓
@velosapien2 жыл бұрын
Is your ride organised by BHF, then its the same route. Ditchling is tough as some places are more than 10% gradient and also its at the end when you have burnt all the matches. Please let me know the date / organiser of your ride as I'd like to re-record this with more modern camera and gps equipment..👍
@dbandz26252 жыл бұрын
It’s organised via London to Brighton bike ride and anyone can be a sponsor im doing it for diabetes uk thanks for the info I’ve done a 48 mile ride an bottled a hill about 40 miles in so best do that ride again and complete the hill a few times I reckon as it ain’t as long as ditchling cheers for the info an stay safe
