In this video I attempt to upgrade an alloy Shimano Mountain Bike hub to a sealed bearing for under $1, without using a lathe or any fancy tools except for a drill (or an impact driver) and a 3D printer... if you don't own or have access to a 3D printer you could always make the tool out of wood if you are a bit handy.
When I was a teenager I did some awesome modifications to bicycles, but long are the days where I could go into a hardware store or bike shop and just buy a bearing race, these days its individual ball bearings of many different sizes. Now, sealed bearings are something I can get behind.

And the 60002RS (rubber seal) or 6000ZZ (metal seal) 10x26x8mm bearings: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DlQ...
Digital calipers I really need to invest in: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DC2...
