Nice one as always Scotty. Big snaps love the big baits. First one I got was on a live herring, and it wasn't a small herring! Makes me want to get back into chasing demersals...

Man that was an awesome video!! Bummer about the couple big dropped fish but who really cares you got your feed an had a good time in glamour conditions ✅🎣 that placcy run was an 85cm plus big dog I reckon 😅💪🏼

Scotty you have me sitting on the edge of my seat all the time with that light line. We usually use 80 to 100 pound hand lines in the boat. I like the hand lines because when you feel the weight of a big fish come onto the line you can just let go of it and let them have plenty of time to scoff the bait. Just let the fish hang themselves l. 👍

In the shallow water I fish, you wouldn’t see a fish on 100pd line they would see it . Without the light line I doubt you would get as many hits

@@Saltfix you would be surprised. It's the sinker weight they don't like and if you leave a rod sitting in the rod holder when they pull the line and the rod tightens up that's when they drop it or you just lip hook them and the hook pulls.

Hmmm I had two occasions Friday where the hook eye sliced the line , got the knot back intact just cut on thee part that goes around the eye light leader must slip into the join and get nicked . Probs meant to be snelled

@@michaelwest188 do you tie straight to the hook eye or snell. This was 30pd BM supple and it did it twice with two different hooks Blood knot. Never had it happen before but read of it , must just slip into the gap and get nicked somehow . Once was a small sambo boat side I went to lift and pop Knot still intact. I got it on video but not sure if it’s close enough to see the knot, I’ll check it out. Apart from that the hooks seem ok

You really need an electric motor buddy! You will be in heaven ! The way you fish is very similar to my own fishing! Getting in close for kings and helping you anchor right where you want! Keep your videos coming love them! 👍🇦🇺

What do you search for when your looking for good ground for pinky’s dhuies and more demersals just got a boat and I’m completely unsure

Baitfish mostly but just solid structure that fall onto sand . Most of my vids I show where I’m sitting. Got one coming soon where I sound around and show the search

Perth . The whole coast has similar ground just need to spend the time sounding out the ground a bit

Scotty thanks again for your video's....always enjoy them. Can you please let me know when you are anchoring, do you drive over the reef into the wind and drop the anchor so your boat sits back on top of the reef or so the boat sits still forward of the reef ? Thanks again David

Anchor on the reef and let the wind blow me back off the edge . I like to be right on the edge. But know others who fish 20-30m out off the edge on the sand and they do well too
