Nice father son training day 😊 Interesting to see the difference between scalies and mulies early on. I almost exclusively use scalies, but maybe I'll diversify. I would suggest when you go to circles to go up a size or 2 from your regular big reds.

Big fan of Salfix here. I swear by the first and last light fishing Scotty, but lately it hasn't been so and today we got a 600 dhue two pinks in the late 700s at lunchtime in 10-14m on the 5 fathom bank. Just putting in the time is the key.
@Saltfix3 ай бұрын
Always exceptions to rules , just for me the low light periods are best and the most convenient for me to fish

Nice work been out a lot also recently no luck except an 83cm Sambo deep water small rod 30-pound line was a lot of fun. It's my son's rod he catches whiting and herring on normally. You should try a sambo in a Thai green curry it's really tasty

A stronger rod and a multiplier reel, once you get the hang of it you will never look back. My self my boat rod for metro waters is a 5ft Shimano 45kg max load and similar Abu rod and Shimano and Abu multiplyer 6500 reels high rated. It does take some of the fun from it as you wouldn't notice you have a small snapper like that one you got and i find that if i can get the fish to turn back to me it never drops of or have lost a fish. Also would you consider doing a live episode ?
@Saltfix3 ай бұрын
I’ve thought about a live episode, maybe one day

just wondering when you floating baits out the back for snapper how do you stop the current or wind blowing it into the motor. TIA
@Saltfix3 ай бұрын
If I’m anchored then the boat will mostly be pointing into the wind or current and baits cast out the back should be drifting with current or wind away from the boat .

Hi Scott , if you have a chance could you please make a video for how to use the tilt trim , when I drive I'm not sure the motor should be higher or lower , I just listen the motor to adjust also another video to teach how to fix fishing rods please , most of my ones are broken and I believe there's many ppl like me looking for a video to explain how to fix the rods .
@Saltfix3 ай бұрын
the trim/tilt i can do, fixing rods ? d be asking why you keep breaking them
@user-qf6dx4to2i3 ай бұрын
@@Saltfix it's my kids , 7 & 9 yrs , mostly when it's tangled they brake them
@Saltfix3 ай бұрын
@@user-qf6dx4to2i I don’t really break many rods so don’t need to fix Not much you can do. Put a new tip on and use it as a shorter version .

I'm sorry but Zane constantly pulling and winding against the drag so erratically is a massive pet peeve. I edited the comment because I noticed you trying to teach him and telling him not to give so much slack on the wind down.

People always think i slay the fish, pictures of dhufish and snapper and so on. And i guess i do. I catch more than most people, but what they dont see is the 3-4-5 shit trips between those fish where i get shit all.
@Saltfix3 ай бұрын
Correct, nobody sees the donut trips. so many times people go gee you must have good spots,? can you give me spots? ive never been asked "how many hours do you put in?" or "how often do you go?" it like anything training and practice.
@-CHeWy-3 ай бұрын
@@Saltfix Exactly. My spots are out around where yours are, and really they are nothing special.
