A day out chasing Giant's off the sand! An epic catch and release of a truly special shark this trip amongst the white sands and clear waters it really doesn't get much better!

That was an Amazing experience, watching you tussle with those sharks!!! The Hammerhead was just a staggeringly gorgeous animal!! I have some experience around Hammers and they are just as fascinating to watch, as they are just a beautiful creatures on their own. I was with a group of scuba divers just north of Guaymas Mexico when a school of twenty five to thirty sharks swam above us! I'll tell you Icon, it was as exciting to see then, as it is now watching you get that incredible animal to swim off into the big blue!! I would guess that you single handedly made the days of thousands of people who tuned in to see what kind of salt water shenanigans you managed to find yourself in this episode!!! Bloody Brilliant!!! Speaking of Bloody Brilliant, how is Momma Tal doing? Things must be getting into the chaos swing with Baby Chaos' appearance just around the corner! Mate, I wish I wasn't so broken, and lived a helluva lot closer just to catch a glimpse of the Little Chaos once she's all safe and at home!! All is decently good here, off to see a surgeon next Thursday (the 21st) for my buggered shoulder (old Rugby injury that was never properly fixed and has gotten worse over the years) and I hope the verdict is to go under the knife soon to get it fixed. It'll mean a Summer of no fishing, no swimming (except at the local pool, maybe), no archery and even no golf but, I hope it'll all be worth it to have a shoulder able to carry things again without hurting so damn much!! Thanks for letting us tag along on another of your Amazing and Inspiring Adventures!!! Much Love to You & Tal and Baby Chaos, Bazz and Indi and I'll be looking for you again in a fortnight's time!! - Dave

Try using the “bridal technique” for big baits and a circle hook. We use it in south africa for live baits and big baits. Works everytime🤙🏻 love the videos🦈

Cheers mate... I do have a recipe I have been wanting to try but just need to get a fresh bluefin before I can give it a crack :-). Tal's doing well we are only about 6 weeks out from the big day so all coming around super quick!

Great video! What lb line and top shot you using? And what kind of lengths? Also are you running a sinker at all? Thanks

Thanks mate... this set ups i'm running 800-900m of 100lb braid backing with about 80-100m of 80lb mono top shot with a 300lb wind on leader that connects to a clip swivel and then my main trace. No sinkers in my area there minimal current so if you're baits big enough there's no need.

Cheers mate :) I run 100l Berkley 9x braid backing and 80lb Stern mono top shot as these rods are my heavy tackle marlin setups I just use them for sharking the I can't get out due to weather or it's outside marlin season. I make all my rigs myself when I can as I quite like rigging but the circle hook rig I missed the 2nd shark on was an off the shelf one I quickly grabbed that morning on the way out.

I'll be back out there when the weather clears to try get that big one ;-). I run a FG from braid to mono top shot the a platted double to a wind on leader with a catspaw splice connection :-)
